I'm sitting here and I had what I feel for certain were 3 BH in a row. They were actually painful, and I've thought I felt them before now but this time I'm sure. Now my belly feels crampy and sore.
Is this normal? Because I'm kind of a little freaked out by it.
Don't worry. Your stomach and uterus are going to feel so weird right now; strtching, pulling, tightness. That's all normal, but if you're really concerned, call your ZoB, that's at they're there for. I've felt the same things as my belly grows. As long as you don't have debilitating cramps and blood, you're fine. BH are otaly normal and can start even earlier than now. It's uncomfortable, but totally natural.Hope this helped!
Wow, what a weird little board. I don't even know how I got here. I feel like I just walked into the backroom of a store to find the employee only bathroom. Creepy.
I don't know what you guys are talking about.... just go to the week you are and look under everything.... wouldn't it be nice to talk to people in the exact same week you are? I like going to the Feb board but even in that people's weeks are all over the place...
Eh.... whatever. Since nobody posts here I prob am going to go back to the Feb board but will check this one every once in a while....
lol....I know the feeling
with the breasts being itchy all the time...lol...My 11yr old daughter
said I looked like a monkey because I was always scratching....
I
started feeling little movements in my belly too this week Can't
feel them from the outside yet, so its really cool because its still my
time...lol..that'll stop once the kicks can be felt from the outside
though..
Me too!!! i've been on this site for a while and i just found this. I'm glad i did though. Now next time i get on here i know where to go to find my week.
Hey I am also 17 weeks and something awesome happened today! My baby girl surprised me. I felt her moving about for almost 2 minutes straight! It was so weird and awesome. It was the fluttering/popcorn popping/butteflies in my stomach. Im so excited.
It feels like a little bitty fish flopping around........this is my third so it's much easier for me to distinguish! I don't think if feels like gas. Don't stress if you haven't felt it yet.....trust me in time you will!! Good luck!
I am also 17 weeks! Very excited. We had a 3D ultrasound last week and we found out we are having a girl! I am so happy. I am not sure if ive felt the baby kick yet since this is my first child but i cant wait to feel them.
I am currently 17w 4d and I too have had some cramping every few days. My dr said it was normal as long as there's no blood. Their hasn't been any. Then just today I have been having sharp pain in my right ovary area. I wonder if it's just my body and uterus stretching? I go to my next dr appt in a week so I'll ask, but man those little pains hurt today. Has anyone else had this? Also my belly button feels really strange too. Like stretching! It's my first baby so everything is so strange and new!! We find out the sex in one week!!
I just hit 17wk today and we found out last week we're having a boy. So excited!
I have had the same pains the last few days as well. I called my doc and she said as long as I don't have any bleeding or anything I'm good. She said take some Tylenol, drink water and put my feet up.
Also, I've been able to feel my little guy kick, a lot actually!!! It is the most wonderful feeling right now. Once you know what it is, it's easier to distinguish between the baby and just digestive issues.
I haven't gained much weight, I'm healthy and the baby is growing right on schedule. I've always been a tiny person even from birth. (weighed 3lbs, 2months preemie) Should I be concerned????
I felt my baby move for the fist time (knowingly) at 17 weeks, 1day & it was the best feeling ever! It went pretty good for about 1-2 minutes and since then I've felt little flutters, but nothing like that first night.
I've also been having super itchy boobs lately & find myself with my hand down my shirt more times than I'd like to admit!
The past couple of days I've been experiencing this tightness or pulling feeling between my belly button and pubic area and wasn't sure if it was just more muscle/ligament stretching or what it was/is?
Today is the START of week 17. While sitting at work I could feel my stomach popping like popcorn. First time I got to feel my sweet boy kick. It was the best feeling in the world. I just wish my husband could feel this.
These past couple of weeks I have had horrible back pain. I think the baby is sitting right on my sciatic nerve. Which I have heard won't go away and the only thing to do is relax and put a heating bad on the area!
Our BIG sono is next monday and I could not be more excited. They are going to do the counting of the finger and toes and measure the baby to see how growth is doing.
Hope everyone has a GREAT 17 week and a blessed pregnancy

HHad my amnio Wed ... Am 42 and tested very high in 2 lab screenings for downs syndrome (1:22 and 1:14) .. Had scary genetic counseling that totally freaked me out and left me in near shock waiting for the amnio results. I posting to offer some reassurance to others in this state... Myy OB called me an hour ago and my baby is fine... Amnio negative for downs and trisomy 18 and.... It's a BOY! So I can exhale and relax now. Is all that stress I was put through really necessary? Geez.. I am just sooooo freAkin relieved ... Little Aaron Daniel is A-ok!
Hi, I was wondering if there was anyone out there that has gone thru a triple screen test. I received a positive trisomy 18 result from a screening and I am sooo worried. This is my 8th pregnancy, I lost 4 to a miscarriage. Alot of people are telling me that these screening can be a false positive. Is there anyone that has experienced this?
Thank you for your post! I am also 17 weeks and went to genetic counseling. I left there very upset and never wanted to go back. They said that I have an increased risk for downs. We go Tuesday for our ultrasound and I am scared out of my mind. They will be looking for "soft" markers. I don't even want to go! I am so happy that your baby boy is healthy and you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy! That is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Debra I have 3 friends that refused these test because there is such a high rate for false positives. My best friend had one done with her first child and got a positive result for Downs. Her son is healthy, happy, downs free 7 year old rambunctious boy. I am 17 weeks and I will not be participating in this because I think its wrong to cause someone such heartache when there is such a margin of error on these test... I wish you all the luck in the world!
I've decided not to have the screenings done either. It's not in our hands. I ask the doctor if they could see what they needed to by the ultrasound and they said yes. So I'm not doing any worrying for nothing. On to my question, I have a lot of uncomfort very low! Nothing is painful, and it doesn't bother me standing up only sitting down. What is this? Is this just growth? Will it feel like this the entire time?
I had a postive reading on one of these tests with my second child for downs. They asked me if I wanted to abort which I didn't. My daughter was born perfectly normal and healthy and is now 14. I have since had 5 miscarriages. I am now on my 9th pregnancy and hope everything turns out fine. I am going through tons of genetic testing as I am a high risk. My last child was born with a very rare birth defect (which was not genetic) so we are having as much screening done as possible without it causing harm to the baby. I will only have an amnio done if all other tests come back positive and it is the last thing that could let us know if anything is really wrong. I want to be prepared this time. Everyone and every pregnancy is different so to each their own. I wish you all the best of luck with your pregnancies.
i am 17w and 3d... thought i felt the baby move yesterday but i wasnt sure! this is my first and everything is so new to me. i have had a lot of dissapointments regarding my doctors office assistants being so rude and telling me the wrong appointment times and information (grr) ... i understand that you see pregnant women all day but it being my first pregnancy i was expecting a much different environment and softer attitudes.. for example, there is a note on the receptionist window, "dont knock, i can see you"... but over all, i have a great doctor and our family and friends have been extremely supportive towards us and our little peanut. : )
I am 17 weeks and 4 days and so happy to be here I have my next doctors appoinment in a week and at that appoinment we'll make my ultrasound appointment for two weeks from then. Ugh, I can't WAIT!!! This is my first and I just want to see our sweet little peanut

I just turned seventeen weeks and started feeling baby a week ago. I am a first time mom, so I was not expecting to feel the baby this early. It feels like a little fish is flopping around or something quickly rolled against my lower abdomen. I have felt it moving every day since here and there and can feel it mostly when I sit still for a while. We hopefully get to find out the gender tomorrow! This has been the best week ever!
Is it normal to feel the baby move and then not feel it for almost 4 days later? Also I feel like I cooked my baby, I laid out in the sun on Saturday and I am so burnt. Ever since I have been having nightmares. I am sure everything is fine.
hi, im 17 weeks pregnant and the other day i went to see my midwife she said we should be able to hear the heartbeat by now and when she checked we couldnt hear anything is that normal ?
Cramping is normal. I had it as well., I asked my doctor and she said to drink plenty of water because if you don't cramping may be the reason why. Good luck:)
If there were concern I think your midwife would have sent you straight to the emergency room. At my recent appointment the heartbeat was difficult to hear, and also to hear for a consistent time, because the baby was moving around so much! My OB said that since the baby is rolling around so much in there, it takes a little more effort to catch the heartbeat.
I am 17 weeks and for the first time just got really lightheaded and almost passed out...scared me to death! this is my second pregnancy and have never experienced this before!!
Anyone else had this happen to them?? I was able to sit down and eat some cheese and calmed down quite a bit...but the shakiness is still there

I had a lot of dizzy spells in my first trimester and hadn't had them in weeks but this weekend had 2 bouts with dizziness again. Pretty scary. My eyes went very dark and I was sure I was passing out. Of course I was at work and extremely short handed. I went to the kitchen and drank a glass of OJ and felt better. Pretty scary though.
