I just went to the bathroom and wiped. There was an orangeish pink tinge when I wiped. I'm freaking and trying not to cry. I just called OB and am waiting to hear back from a nurse.
I used my doppler today and heard the HB, but I am so scared.
I've heard that this can happen. My mother had it happen to her when she was pregnant with me. I wouldn't start to worry unless it gets heavier and more like period blood. I had a miscarriage in August 2010 and when I bled, it wsa heavy and bright red. If it is just light pink and barely there, I would just try to breath and calm down. Keep in mind you heard the HB today too. My thoughts are with you!
Not to be gross, but are you sure it came from your vag? If you've been constipated, it could be from straining. Also, have you and your husband had intercourse lately? Or have you had an internal for any reason? Both of these can cause some spotting.
Try to stay calm... Drink lots of water, lie down, & put your feet up.

Sleep with Jesus sweet baby.
The nurse called back. She said that orange is not a normal color and asked if I could have an infection. I said I felt fine. She told me to put on a pad and call back if I notice it again. I'm not thrilled with this and it's really hard not to panic. Ugh. I still have 5 more hours of work, too. I just want to go home and get a hug.
I had the same thing about a week ago and the Dr said it could be because of the increased blood flow to the cervix, which for some women causes bleeding. Try to relax and rest until the dr calls...

What the pp said. I've had a couple of near heartattacks after strained bowel movements, only to be relieved to find the small amount of blood I saw was coming from the other end. Take comfort in hearing your baby's hb on the doppler and try to relax. Sending positive thoughts your way!

I was gonna say the same thing as the nurse as far as the color. I wouldn't be worried about there being anything wrong with the baby because it seems some sort of an infection is more likely. Not like that's good news but its better than something wrong with the baby!
Take it easy my friend. I'm sure everything is A ok!

*******HUG******** I know it's not the same as a hug coming from your DH but I thought it might help some! Good Luck!
If you heard the heartbeat today, you're probaby fine. Whatever happened to cause a little blood to get through your CM, that problem would have occurred at least several days ago before you could get brown spotting. HUGS though, I know how this is, I had an odd brown/yellow thing right around 12 weeks that I absolutely hated.
I have been spotting every day light pink/brown/red for the past 3 weeks. I've been to the doc 4 times and had 4 separate u/s for this. There is nothing wrong. Every time I go in there, the doc thinks I'm crazy for being so worried. I think she's crazy for NOT being worried. sheesh.
I understand your concern, but don't freak out. It's not going to help. Just wait to hear back from them. I'm sure it's nothing.
I took my dinner break and managed to calm down. I went back to the ladies room and there is no more orange color so I'm hoping it was nothing. Plus, I swear I feel flutters.
It's pretty quiet in the library tonight, so here's hoping I can just sit and be lazy for the next few hours.
I really appreciate all of the support and kind words.
Sorry about this. I went for 2 mile walk today and after I used the bathroom, I wiped and it was brown. I didn't panic, but called my OB, she had me come in. Heard the heart beats, and she did an internal and said she saw nothing. Cervix is closed and everything looks fine. She did ask if I've been having trouble with constipation. Maybe Im developing hemroids?!?!? She didn't find any. I too, don't know why I had the brown discharge...but everything checked out ok. Sounds like your gonna be just find too!

That is a scary feeling, no matter the color. If it makes you feel any better, I had a little brownish spotting at 11 weeks and baby is totally fine. I hope you get some reassurance soon!
::BIG HUGS::: so sorry you went through that today how scary! I bled a bit from wiping w the cheap tp at school today. I freaked out too until I realized where it came from. owie!

I'm late to the party, but something that may or may not make you feel better: Pregnant women are more prone to UTI's, and since we already feel a myriad of other symptoms (frequent urination, cramping, back pain), it can be difficult to diagnose until it becomes more than just a small infection. I've been taking Azo Cranberry (maroonish box), found in the OTC vitamins/minerals section at WalMart. It's natural and safe to take. If you really think it's a UTI, buy the concentrated- but follow the directions. You will pee KoolAid ORANGE while on it- just like antibiotics for a uti.

Azo only relieves the symptoms, it will not cure the uti.

Baby is fine - breathe!!!! It's something else, I promise you. Was it really orange or brownish?
Either way
red = panic.
orange/brown = what the hell is this? but things are okay!!!

I'm glad you were able to calm down hopefully it will continue to be slow at the library and you won't have anymore anything. Try no to worry.
