We have our first preschool home work assignment - and I'm stumped

bring in something who's name starts w/ letter "A"

Literally the only household object I can think of is an apple

- my kid's screwed

    uh...yeah, A is a little tricker than I initially thought, lol 

    does she have a book that starts with A?

    ETA: or name a baby doll Annie real fast and send her

    Alphabet book or puzzle

    You could could print on the computer a picture of an A animal

    Do you have a family member whos name starts with the letter A? Bring in a picture of said relative/friend (I work in a preschool and have seen this. Actually they have brought the person in too)

    I purchased a large size package of aluminum foil. DD and I opened it at home and made a letter 'A' out of it. She has 16 kids in her class so I sent in 16 zip loc baggies with two pieces of aluminum foil and directions/diagram for the letter 'A' so they could each make their own shiny letter 'A'. Apparently the kids loved crinkling the aluminum foil so it was a big hit. 

     

    ETA: yes I am THAT mom that tends to go a little overboard. I'm just that way about most things and I choose to embrace it. Stick out tongue

    My DD took her Ariel doll. She was the only Ariel in a sea of apples. :)

    :)  DD has this as an assignment every week for show and tell. We're on letter E this week. Good luck!

    we've had other show and tell assignments but they were easier - something red, your favorite animal, etc. this is a little harder - especially this letter.

    DS took an airplane (along with every other kid in his class who didn't bring an apple).

    I like the acorn idea someone else had.  Heck, a box of apple juice would be a little different.

    For D we took drum, they had lots of fun!

    We had DD's class "Alpha Bucket" last weekend and had to fill it with things that started with "F" and tell the story of the bucket over the weekend.  It was a lot of work, lol.  What did you end up using?

    Yeah - I just don't have an alligator, ambulance, anchor, anteater, astronaut or ape at home.

    I might see if I can find a Christmas angel for her to bring.
