I've tried like a gazillion times now to make a stupid clicky poll and I just can't do it sooo...

Are you afraid of the dark?

    SS: sometimes

Same here.  I opened my eyes to early when a preview for Paranormal Activity 3 was on a few days ago and now I'll be afraid of the dark for a few weeks.  I had to sleep with the bathroom lights on after I watched the first 2 and I'm still afraid to sleep on the couch at night after the second one.

  • Yes! Big time! I saw "It" when I was like 7 years old and my life has never been the same. I was terrified of sinks/showers/storm drains for a long time. Now I just hate the dark. The other night, DH turned off the bathroom light without turning the tv on and I flipped out on him. He doesn't understand why I'm scared even with him in the room.

Thankfully, I do not remember "It".  I'm glad I'm not the only one who has to turn on the tv before turning out the light though!!  DH moved our tv and now we don't have cable so I sleep with out master bathroom lights on the nights he works late and make my best guy friend text me until I fall asleep.  I'm usually ok when DH is home though although he's such a deep sleeper he wouldn't even notice if some creepy demon was dragging me out of bed!

  • LOL! I am sometimes. I remember this episode of X-Files I saw when I was a kid where these spider thingys came and ate people if they weren't in the light and I still think of it to this day.

S/o Simon is TOTALLY afraid of the dark. I have to leave the lamp on when I put him to bed or he FREAKS OUT.

This is my H exactly. I'm worried about him when deploys - the base will come under attack and he'll sleep through the whole thing. We've had entire conversations during the night that he has NO recollection of in the morning.

  • I'm not afraid of the dark, but I don't like to be alone in a house at night. I grew up in a huge old farm house in the middle of the country. It always scared the crap out of me being out there alone. Think wind howling, cows mooing, random cars driving by and fences creaking... phew still gives me the goose bumps.

  • ffejsGirl, that would freak me out!

I am very much afraid of the dark, and I sleep with the tv on. Sometimes I think I see like shadows out of the corner of my eye, but I know thats just my imagination.

When H and I first got married and moved in together, I would come home to an empty house and check every single room and closet. We only had one dog at the time, and I would say "You go check!"  (imagine me ripping the shower curtain open, as if to catch someone in there!? Wtf...I am crazy)
