woohoo for skinny feet!

I took Warner to the shoe store for a new pair of fall shoes today. (I realized that with the cold weather, his sandals and flip-flops weren't going to cut it as back ups to his sneakers and that he only had one pair of shoes.)

And when the lady measured his feet she said that his feet are no longer wide--yippee! Now I can actually buy shoes on sale...and there will be more than one style in the store that he can wear!

[And then, of course, after I put him to bed tonight when I started looking online for more shoes for him, I got teary-eyed thinking about how big he's getting and how I miss his fat little feet. I blame pregnancy hormones :-) ]

  • good thing you'll have new fat little feet soon!

DD still needs wide shoes and it's a hassle

  • That's cool! I took C to the Stride Rite outlet two weeks ago, sure that they would tell me he had wide feet. Turns out his feet aren't that wide when he's wearing the right size shoes, as opposed to the two-sizes-too-small sneakers we'd been cramming him in to Indifferent Oops.
  • Yay for non-wide feet!

I don't think it's pregnancy hormones though.  We cut Sprout's hair for the first time and he looks so mature now. I get all sad (and, on occasion, misty eyed) when I look at him b/c he looks like he's 4 and not 1.  I want the long bangs & curls back!!!!  I am definitely not pregnant. Watching your baby grow up is certainly joyful, but also a little bit sad!

  • Yay for skinny feet!

I think I'm going to have the opposite problem with DD.  She has extremely small super narrow feet.  She's going to be walking soon, and I'm pretty sure that no one makes size 1.5 shoes for walkers.

  • Wow - I didn't know that could happen.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that we have some of that same good luck.
