I'm on the hunt for new water bottles. We have currently been using Camelbaks and haven't been happy as they are constantly leaking. What have your kids been using that are leak-proof/spill proof?
Have you tried replacing the valve? Ryan's was a year old and started leaking and I just bought a new bite peice for it.
Surprisingly I just got a replacement valve from Camelbak (was cleaning and a piece broke off in my hand) maybe 3-4 months ago. I wouldn't think I need a new one already?
It's 100% spill-proof and spends all its time rolling around in M's sheets.
The downside is that the water comes out pretty slowly. That's fine for a night-time sippy, but during the day, we do the Camelbak thing (ours all leak, too.)
Mads still sleeps with a sippy cup of water (bad habit, blah blah blah) and for that, uses a kids Nalgene.
Hmm... I thought the "bad" factor was to bed with a sippy of milk? I haven't heard about it being bad to go to sleep with a sippy of water. Do you know the thought behind that?

I agree. I don't think there is anything wrong with water, might take them longer to night train but I sleep with a water bottle too because I wake up and I'm thirsty a lot at night.
We have Kleen Kanteen which we love and the kids are both able to easily open and close the top. For cute ones we have Crocodile Creek and we've never had leak issues with those either.

Yeah, thinking back, I think it was potty training related. M sleeps in underwear at night, but does sometimes wake us up to pee at some ungodly hour. But I'd rather that than a dehydrated kiddo since she's so bad about water intake during the day.

i had this happen with mine, when the lid is on to tight that it can;t release the water back into the bottle & it get stuck in the straw!
try to loosen it little & see if it helps.

You can get cute food jars too that match the water bottles along with backpacks, lunch boxs.
