Just wanted to share...
One of my BFFs had a baby GIRL this morning... after what appeared to be clearly boy ultrasounds! Not sure how it happened, but here she is, after months of prepping for a boy! Sooo exciting! Luckily they got most of their decor handed down and kept a lot of items gender neutral - but they'll definitely be doing a lot of shopping now!

Re: Ultrasounds aren't always right!
I hopoe they aren't too upset about it. I alwasy think it would be very tramatic to have something like that happen. I know I bonded so much with the idea of Riley of being a boy even before his birth.
This Happened to my Friend IN August, She thought she was having a Girl & turned out to be a boy.
She HAd all Girls stuff, bedroom was painting purple with Princess on the wall.
So They have been going a lot of Remodeling.
I haven't talked to them yet, but I'm sure they're thrilled! They had wanted a girl originally and had to psyche themselves up for a boy
I hope they left most of the boy clothes with tags on! A good cautionary tale not to be overzealous with washing stuff pre-baby
reminds me of the first thing i said after dd was born, it's a girl right ?!?
the u/s tech never got a clear shot of the girlie parts and said w/ about a 95% degree of certainty we were having a girl. that 5% chance of it being a boy scared the living daylights outta me.
oh wow! congrats to them though, either way is super exciting!
This was a fear I had and in fact when A was born a nurse said "and it's a boy". Not sure what she was looking at. LOL
Me too

Loved being a team greener! Never had to worry about this, plus ALL my newborn stuff swapped to my 2nd kiddo!
But I'm sorry for your friends- hope the transition goes smoothly- I can't imagine expecting/bonding with a gender and then having post-partum hormones and trying to re-establish that. Good luck to them. And congrats! Have they named the baby yet?
I think they're handling it well, but naming has been hard. They said none of the girl names they'd thought of pre-ultrasound seem to fit for them now. It would be stressful to have to decide all of a sudden, plus they are beyond exhausted after 22 hours of labor, 16 of it super hard labor, yikes! Not to mention she was 2 weeks late. But I'm sure it will all work out fine. I agree about being team green - personally I love gender-neutral newborn clothes and, although we did know it was a boy by around week 32 (3d u/s - at the "big" u/s the tech wasn't sure) we didn't tell and I'm glad
