I am having troubles getting my 15 month old to eat a solid food diet. She will eat solids and does for snacks (raisins, cheerios, peanut butter sandwhiches, toast, cheese, etc) but she refuses to eat solids as the main part of her meal. She prefers jarred baby food, yogurt, or apple sauce. Any suggestions on how to get her to eat more solids? I feel like this is getting ridiculous already!

Re: 15 month and solid foods!
My baby is 16 months old. She will eat solids to a point. She eats bites only. I try to offer a ton of different foods but she is SUPER PICKY.
She does well on jared foods. I am ok with that. I was picky growing up and didn't eat a lot. She is only 5% of her weight class and she only weighs 20 lbs.
So if jared food is what she eats and she doesn't go hungry then I am doing my job as her mom. I know that if I take her off of it, she will loose weight before she gains any. I know it will take her a long time to get used to only eating solids. She doesn't cry for food and will go hours without eating.
My pedi said to that its better than going hungry and loosing weight. He doesn't want her to end up in the hospital.......
Jarred food is food just liquids.......
So I don't agree with taking it from her, if thats all your lo eats.....at least your lo is eating and getting food into her. Isn't that all that matters??
She didn't say that's all her LO eats.
Stop buying baby jar foods!!! That's what we did when she turned 12 months. Now she eats mac & cheese, pasta, eggs, soup, chicken, ground hamburger, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato fries. My DD will also eat fruit, yogurt, pudding, and applesauce.
Keep telling her it tastes good and say mmmmmm. We also taste it for effect!!!That's what we do and it works. Once she gets a little taste and then she likes it.
