I need some pick me ups when it comes to pumping. I don't care if you pump for "extra" or if you EP - make me laugh!
Here's mine:
Last night, on the way to the homebirth of a friend, I was going a touch fast in a construction zone. Ok, yes, I shouldn't have - however, it was 12am, NO ONE on the road (including no construction workers) so it wasn't like I was being reckless - I was 5 miles over. Got pulled over. Was handsfree pumping while driving. Cop asks for my license and registration. I give it and he looks at me curiously but walks back to his car. Comes back, says "Despite your recklessness tonight (*eyeroll*) you have a squeeky clean record. I'm guessing you're just tired and didn't notice the reduced speed limit." Me: "I'm on my way to a birth, just a bit excited I guess" - he stood there staring at me with this puzzled look and finally says, "What _IS_ that noise!" and I told him it was my breast pump to which he turned about 14 shades of red and said, "What do you mean.......breast..........pump?"
I was covered but explained that I was pumping my breasts while driving. Muddling through words, he explained that its against the law to pump and drive. I asked, "There is a specific law that says I can't pump and drive?" to which he cited the distracted driver clause of our local "hands free cell phone law" - I assured him that my HANDS FREE breast pumping while listening to my local NPR station was less distracting than chatting on the telephone. He stated he could cite me for distracted and reckless driving tonight "but.......well........I just can't write breast pump on a ticket, I would get way too much flack from the guys".
It ended up being a funny conversation but he was seriously VERY close to writing me a ticket for pumping while driving (which I would have secretly loved because guess how that would have gone down....I don't back down! LOL).
"Sorry friend, I was later than I thought because I had to educate the local City Name police about breast pumps!" LOL
Re: Tell me your funniest pumping story....
hahahahaha!!!!
I don't have anything that good - mostly just falling asleep while pumping in the middle of the night and spilling my milk.
ok- last summer, i was also hands-free pumping in the car. we were driving from our home in the suburbs into the city for dinner, and the ride went really quickly, so i was in a hurry to get my shirt back on. i got my bra on, got my shirt on, we got to the restaurant, and my husband and i went in to meet my parents.
i felt like something was kind of lump in the back of my shirt, and i reached around to straighten it out, but it seemed stuck. my mom looked and said, "it's your pumping bra!"
turns out i had somehow fastened the hands-free pumping bustier in my bra, and it was hanging out the bottom of my shirt like a tail! my mom tried to pull it out, and it wouldn't come out, and we both began laughing hysterically, the whole restaurant turned to look at us, and my dad basically shoved us into the women's room so people would stop staring.
hoo boy. fortunately i am not too easily embarrassed!
LOL! that is pretty awesome!
I EP'd with the twins and Griffin used to ask if he could "turn on mommy's boobies"... he liked to turn the switch of the pump on
I got caught by the UPS man. He came to the door when DH was in the bathroom and I was pumping. The front window was open. He goes "I will just leave this here for you sense I know you are home" and he walked off. LOL

My hubby and I try to put our older boys to bed together, but there are several nights where I end up needing to pump at their bed time.
The other night hubby was doing the bedtime routine by himself, and one of my guys says to him, "daddy can mommy come up and give us hugs and kisses after she's done MILKING?" So cute and so literal.
