We were originally planning on an aviation theme since my H jumps out of planes for a living but we've kind of headed in the direction of just a vintage, school type theme with some touches of airplane stuff.
We went with a color theme not an actual theme. I'm a FTM expecting a DD, so we did baby pink and white with little hints of sage green. I couldn't resist! I wasn't a girlie girl as a child, so I'm reliving through LO
Baby Mickey and Friends and boy was I amazed at how hard that was to do! Mickey you can sort of find, Winnie the Pooh is every where but classic 5 or baby classic 5 was much harder than I thought!
We are doing neutral walls (Brown & Tan) with an animal print bedding, accessories and decorations which is pink, brown and tan. I will post pictures once it comes together a little bit more.
TTC since 1/10

2/11 Clomid 150mg/Ovidrel/Progesterone Suppliments = BFP! Had my beautiful baby girl November 10, 2011
BFP w/Baby #2 October 2012
Due Date June 15th 2012
We did a Dr. Suess themed room. These pictures are a bit dark but the walls are navy blue and yellow. The bedding is from Pottery Barn, they don't sell it anymore. I'm so glad we got it when we did! We are going to get a glider to put where our dog is laying in the second picture. Other than that I just have to make valances for the windows which will be red gingham to match the bed skirt. I also have a ribbon photo board to hang up as well as a Dr. Suess wall quote to put onto the wall.
Seems like our LO's room is taking so long. We have been working on it for at least a month. But it's so worth it in the end to have exactly what we want!
We did a sea theme as well, loosely based on the bedding at BRU called Bubbles... We bought the pictures and then we did some etsy stuff. Mostly, it's just the colors in the theme that we liked - soft blues and greens.
We are green and brown with accent pastel colors. There are some little lady bugs & butterflies decorations scattered in too. We are team green so I'm walking a fine line.
Our girls will be sharing a room. So I will be keeping the theme the same (green, pink, white, yellow with bird accents). We need to get DD's toddler bed and rearrange furniture. We are in no hurry since DD#2 will be in our room.
We are doing jungle theme. DS and DD are going to be sharing a room after she is 3 months. So we are using the same bedding. The bedding we bought for DS is for a boy or a girl so it works.
Polka dots. Colors are chocolate brown, turquiouse, lime green, burnt orange, light pink and hot pink. I had a hard time finding something that wasn't super pink. Plus I feel like this will be able to grow with DD.
Space theme, however, I have yet to purchase a single thing for it. It's hard trying to find exactly the right fit.
We started doing a space theme, but it's morphed into more rocket ships & robots. I'm calling it my "Fly Me to the Moon" nursery. A lot of "space" things were black and primary colors, which I thought would make the room look small & busy as opposed to relaxing. We started with this bedding set:
And are doing the rest of the room in coordinating white, light blue, brown & touches of green with some random robot/rocket ship accessories. Plus there are lots of great options for space/rocket ship kids room or nusery art on the internet.

Here's a sneak peak

Safari Chic. Tee hee hee. Yes, for a baby room
I've been referring to ours as "elegant safari", as in neutrals with embroidered animals as opposed to cartoon, cutesy animals.
DMoney will be a kickass big sister
Another robots theme here.
Specifically, red robots!
We did a sage green, yellow and brown colors. No real "theme". It's circles/dots and lines. That's about all.
I love your robots. Such a cute idea. We got a onsie pants outfit for a shower gift that had a robot on with with "beep beep" on the butt! So cute.
Since I'm having a girl...I wanted to do modern chic (something she can grow with.) I'll post photos once I've finished sometime in November...yikes!

we're either doing nautical or airplanes....or maybe some sort of hybrid of the two. walls will be a medium blue with white furniture.
with DS #1 we did jungle animals in sage green and brown.

Does big pile of stuff in the corner count as a "theme"?
Ultimately it will be Noah's Ark.
