Ummm, I have gained 3 lbs in one week! I thought the weight gain was supposed to slow down these next few weeks? My eating habits have not changed, but the swelling has picked up in my ankles and fingers. Yikes! Well, just 3 more weeks!
I wouldn't worry about it... I'm blaming the weight gain on fluid retention for sure. I'm eating very healthy and am still exercising... I gained 8 lbs in 2 weeks, then lost 4 after 1 week, then back up 3 this week... Crazy pregnant body!
BFP#1 1/31/11 ~ CK came on her due date, 10/10/11!
BFP#2 11/20/12, EDD 7/30/13 ~ heard heartbeat at 6w2d ~ mmc discovered at 8w
Happy watermelon slash full term to you, too! Has your BP been ok all along? Mine's been fine. I'd love it if you would update with what the doc says!
Yup! BP has been great the entire time. Just about everything has been. I guess it's just one of those things. I will definitely let you know what the doc says!
I have the same issue. I gained 4 lbs since my last appointment 2 weeks ago. The doctor said it was clearly from water retention though. (All she had to do was look at my ankles and feet! )
Oh well, we're at least near the end! I am just glad that the water retention and swelling has held off until now!
After 2 years of TTC, our daughter was born on Oct 31, 2011! 7lbs 13oz 20 inches long ">
This is exactly what is happening to me. I had my weekly appointment on Monday and I had gained 3 lbs in one week and my doctor said it's because of my swelling. Still didn't make me happy but at least I know why I gained 3 lbs in a week.
That happened to me too near the end. I was eating fairly healthy and still walking. I gained 35 lbs before the battery went out on my scale at 35-36W. I put on a lot of weight the week before.
The awesome thing is that the water weight will come right off. I am already back into pre-pregnancy jeans. :-)
