So, I have posted before about how sometimes I work and DH is at home w/ Mackenzie. This is a story about one of those times ...
I come into a meeting with my colleages, our mutual boss, and our boss's boss who is over a bunch of departments and super professional. We are kinda waiting around because it's not time to start and there are some people who haven't arrived yet.
In walks one of the younger guys who is super nice but probably the least professional guy in our company. He is 30 and routinely assumed to be 21-23 due to dress, language, etc. He is wearing shoes, pants, and a button up shirt and holding a big plastic bag. He reaches into the bag and pulls out a belt- and starts putting it on. Everyone is looking at each other in disbelief. He turns to the wall to tuck the shirt in and some of the guys are like "hey, man- we have some time you can go in the bathroom". He then proceeds to put on a sweater over his button up shirt, fix his shoes and then... the icing on the cake, he takes out some aviators and puts them folded on his sweater. He looks at everyone staring and says "what, you've never seen someone put on a belt before??"
Nope, not in a meeting. Not sure how his boss handled that one, but I'm assuming it was a first. I keep laughing at the fact that someone actually got dressed in a professional meeting. What are people thinking sometimes?
Re: Really funny coworker fail ...
I'm laughing over the fact that he brought his clothes to work with him in a plastic bag. Getting dressed in a meeting is wholly inappropriate, but the plastic bag just makes is so much klassier!
When I was in elementary school and was dawdling getting ready for school, my mom would threaten to send me to school in my pajamas with my clothes in a paper bag. She never had to make good on that threat, although there were a couple of times I put on my clothes in the front hallway seconds before I had to leave for the bus stop.
I do get your point. And I do like this kid, btw. I just get a lot of laughs from his antics. I like that you like him.
One thing I did not explain about this particular situation-- the khakis and shirt would have been FINE. No one would have noticed or cared that he didn't have a belt on. He could have just accessorized after the meeting.
