Were trying to put together some playlists for the delivery room and I'm a little stumped. I'm not a huge fan of Enya, and when I hear etherial type stuff it just kind of turns me off. Classical is ok, but still feel "meh" about it too. What are you ladies going to listen to? Normally we listen to country or rock but I haven't found anything that I am too crazy about. Any suggestions would be wonderful! TIA!
Re: Suggestions for relaxing music during labor?
maybe just get some ballad type country songs - nothing that is too loud or fast. Something like that Grammy song (need you now) If that is the kind of thing you like.
I really dont see the point of music. I wouldnt want it too loud because I would want to hear the doctor /nursing team and it would probably just give me a headache. but then again, I am not a big music person.
I have a "Sounds of Water" CD that I transferred to my iPod and it's so relaxing. Each track is about 12 minutes long and has an ocean, a thunderstorm, a babbling brook and what sounds like boat oars being dipped in and out of a lake.
i did this for my first and had two playlists- relax and pumped and surprisingly I wanted the pumped up music (think up beat and workout type stuff)...
the relaxing stuff was so annoying to me during labor...
hmmm...I'm not sure if you like piano music but I really like Jim Brickman...
