We have been having problems with fussiness and an all around unhappy baby. We think we have narrowed the problem to a milk protein allergy and trying out some different formula.
Long story short, for the last few weeks my kid has been epically fussy, but especially so from 8-9pm until 12-1am. Welp the change in formula seems to be helping the day time fuss-fest. However every night when we try to put him to bed he will pass out for 15 minuets but then wakes up screaming and usually fusses until my husband and I fall down from exhaustion from trying to sooth him.
I mean the kid sleeps right next to me all night, the room is dark and comfy, and sleep is awesome, WTF kid, WTF.
Re: would you like to hear something that is totally annoying?
It was a joke.
OMG I totally didn't think to take him to a pedi!
I am aware babies cry when they need something, and thought it was quiet obvious from my post we are trying to work through the reasons for his fussiness, hence the whole trying a new formula to see if it is milk protein allergy thing.
I am sitting here with the blow dryer running next to me, with my kid in the Moby praying he will stay alseep, my post was a means to pass the time.
Sometimes babies cry to just cry. Of course do talk to your pedi about this but I wouldn't worry too much. If your trying everything to soothe him then you are doing an awesome job! The best thing you can do is just hold him while he's crying
Good luck to you!
We had the same experience, and I used to say WTF, kid ALL the time. And a lot worse. No one can understand how maddening it can be unless they've lived with a truly miserable baby.
Turned out he did have a milk protein allergy AND acid reflux. So now he's on Alimentum formula, and the doctor prescribed baby Zantac for the reflux.
Life is much better now. He's a happy, smiling baby now.
