Lauren definitely has Down syndrome. We both just feel relieved to have a definite diagnosis!!

I admire your strength in planning and being the best possible parents you can be. Lauren is a very lucky little girl and I cannot wait to see/hear how she grows into a fabulous young lady, which is bound to happen with such awesome parents. Good luck, doll.
I am glad that you have found relief in getting this answer. I'm sorry if the diagnosis wasn't as positive as you might have hoped, but I am relieved for you that you were able to get an answer one way or the other (I read an earlier post of yours where you feared they wouldnt be able to tell you anything).
Lauren is very lucky to have you as her mommy!

I have to comment even though it has been said already....I admire your positive attitude and strength. You are a true inspiration to what we all should be like in finding the good things that may come with some unexpected news. You are going to be a GREAT mother!!

Ditto on all accounts! You are so inspriring and will be SUCH an amazing mom. I thought you might want to check out this blog if you've never seen it before. The mom didn't know her baby had down's until she was born. This was a year or two ago, so all her blog posts since are related to "enjoying the small things", but this link takes you to the birth story. I hope you like it and aren't offended by it. The photography is amazing and so is her honesty.
