You don't have to post your actual name if you don't want, just what it means and if you think it represents you.
Mine means "God's Princess" and I would say I think it does represent me in that I profess a strong belief in/relationship with the Lord. I do not, however, think I am a "princess" in the negative connotation of the word.

We are church goers but based on our names you would think we are really religious. I think this baby needs something super not religious for a name
It means "bee" or "honey bee" in Hewbrew. Its a Jewish name and also the name of a biblical prophet.
My old dry cleaners used the Hewbrew spelling for my stuff. LOL. Jewish neighborhood, so they just assumed.
Mine means rival, laborious, eager. I don't think it really describes me, I'm more meek and likely to get walked all over.

Technically Joani is a made up name (Yes Joani is my real name), but Joan means God is Gracious or Gift from God (I have seen both- not sure which is correct).
I think that the "gift from God" meaning describes me perfectly.
ETA: Middle name is Lynn, it is derived from llyn the Welsh word for Lake.

Hi Ladies! I usually post on TTGP, but I have been lurking here for a couple of weeks now. I saw this thread and felt I had to post since I have a fairly unusual name.
My first name is Astin (pronounced like Aspen but with a "T") and it is French for "Starlike" This pretty much fits me only in the manner that I am a total ham. I have "youngest child syndrome" for sure.
