Gymboree Classes?

Has anyone ever taken LO to the gymboree classes in perry hall.  Our lil guy loves music but at $69 a month (im back in school so not working) was wondering if it was worth it.  We live in Middle river, so looking for something close by and LO is 4 mos old.  Any suggestions or experience with gymboree?

Re: Gymboree Classes?

  • We started at 3 months and she loves it! It is a little expensive but I'm a SAHM and its a little outing for both of us!!

That's what's holding me back...$70 a month is a little over my budget...

  • My daughter loves her Gymboree class and I love taking her. She really enjoys being around other babies and she definitely learns from them. She hated tumm time at home but anytime she is there she does it the whole time because her baby friends are doing it too. It cracks me up! I'm not a SAHM so I love being able to have that special bonding time once a week with her. It's expensive but I found other areas to budget in to make up for it.
  • I love taking my LO here. I work a lot, so it is good for us to bond and only focus on her. My Gymboree was selling an annual pass for $600 then I got a military discount of 10%, so it worked out to $45/month for us.
  • I agree about the expense. We both cancelled our gym membership and work out at home. But it is totally worth it..And about the tummy time its soo true. She hates it at home but does it at Gymboree!

  • We have been going since 3 months. I actually got a Groupon, it was $39 for 1 month and no startup fees. Now it's $75 a month, but I really feel it's worth it. My son loves it and I think it's great for him.

  • I've been taking DS since he was around 8 or 9 months old. ?He loves it and I think he learned a lot from all of it. ?He's starting to get a little old for it, but I'll keep him in it until DD is 6 months and then I'll probably start her and do something else for him. ?

  • We started at 2.5 months and we love it.  She also takes the best/longest naps after the class so honestly that (and getting out of the house) alone makes it worth the money to us.  She and the other babies have definitely started recognizing that they know each other and that's pretty cute.

  • I'm really wanting to do the gymboree classes too. Do any on you ladies know if you have a gift card if you can use that for both the store and the classes?
  • The one near my house offers a free class (which is actually 4) because they want you to see what LO gets out of it.

Maybe call and ask if they offer something similar.

  • Thanks for all the relplies ladies, just realized i posted on 3-6 mos board and meant to post on my local board, so thats why all my location info is in there :) Mommy brain! So anyways, I think you all sealed the deal, we are going to go to the free class next week. And I was thinking of telling the granparents this xmas instead of toys to get us gift certificates to gymboree.  That way less clutter in the house, and we get out some :)
