Inspired by the Trixie Belden mystery series! I loved those books growing up and have loved the name Beatrix / Trixie ever since. I'm really more curious about what people think of the nickname Trixie more than the big girl name Beatrix. Cute or not?

Honestly, my mind goes to prostitute. I just wanted to see if other people had this kind of response... I guess I'll just keep fond memories of the books.
I'm going to have to go with "No" for both.
My imaginary alter-ego is a southern girl who wants to name her pseudo-daughter Beatrix, just for the sole purpose of calling her Trixie. She would have the middle name Isabelle so I could call her "Trixie Belle" with a nice southern twang. And sadly, no, I'm not kidding.
I would never in my right midwesterner state of mind use the NN. I like Beatrix. Love Beatrice with the NN Bea.
Ha-ha-ha... Too funny. I actually live in the Deep South.
I think Beatrix and Beatrice are very pretty. Trixie I don't like as a girls name.
Trixie and Ginger are my dogs' names and my uncle refers to them as the 'burlesque girls' because of their stripper-like names, lol.
I love the name Beatrix! And I like the name Trixie as a nickname, but I'm not a fan of skipping right to Trixie on the birth certificate.
Mommy loves you Eevee!

I like it.
I love Beatrice Louise and plan on using the nn Trixie Lou until she (or my family and friends) can no longer stand it.

I love Beatrix!!!
Trixie reminds me of either a white trash type of person or a little white poodle. I hate it.

trixie reminds me of either a little dog or a hooker.
Just the first thoughts off the top of my head.
in all honesty, I've heard way worse!

This.
This.
Not a fan of either names.
Trixie was the name of my best friends dog.
I adore Beatrix. It's one of our top names. I think it has a nice edge that Beatrice doesn't.
I'm probably the unpopular opinion, but I think Trixie is cute on a little girl. On a teen and older? No way. It's stripperish. But on a little girl, I think it's sweet.
Completely agree!
Beatrix is fine, just nms.
Trixie seems more suited to a dog. It would be cute on a four yr old, but I wouldn't send her to school with that nn.
Part of me just worries that Trixie will end up on the pole, probably because when I hear Trix, I think of turning tricks.
О Привязать! Z!
I don't like beatrix, is an ok name but nms and I hate trixie, sounds like a stripper's name
I like Beatrice a lot, spelled this way.
Trixie sounds like a stripper or a mini poodle.
