Pregnant after IF

Ladies in the final weeks...

Are you just down right exhausted?? I feel like I have some energy in the mornings but then I do a couple of things and feel like I ran a marathon or something!!!

My swelling is awful too which isn't helping, but boy the end is little tough, huh??

Re: Ladies in the final weeks...

  • yes! i woke up at 830 this morning, and by 10 i was wiped! mind you, all i had done was shower, eat breakfast and sort laundry.

we went to trader joe's for groceries (i went mostly b/c i felt like getting out of the house and hanging out with DH), and i used a motor cart which was *awesome*. now i'm sitting on the couch with my feet up b/c my freaking feet and cankles are so swollen!

totally know how you feel. we are so close though! can't wait to meet my LOs! i hope you feel better.

  • That's exactly how I feel. I wake up and I'm ok for about 2 hrs and it's all downhill from there. The aches and back pain kicks in and overall feel " beat up" the rest of the day. I sit in my office all day yet somehow I'm just exhausted come mid day. This boy is draining me! My swelling isn't too bad, just once in a while my feet are like sausages.

  • Absolutely exhausted over here. Throw in the fact that I have an extremely active 10 month old and I am so tired by the end of the day it's not even funny. This pregnancy has been so hard on me.

  • Yes! I felt exhausted about weeks 36-38 and had lots of swelling in my feet. Just recently I started to get more energy. I thought that meant labor was coming?!

  • I'm not even as far along as you ladies, but i noticed in the last week I just can't physically do what I used to do.  DH and I just got done running to BRU and BBB to buy everything that was left on our registry and now I seriously need a nap!

  • I'm not feeling too badly, but boy my stamina has taken a big hit!  We are trying to get the house set up and I honestly need to take a break every 15 minutes or so.  Daily naps are also a necessity!!

  • Ditto for being so tired.  Today I showered and dried my hair while sitting and I was beat!  I talked DH into getting a wheelchair and taking me to the mall for a change of scenery and I almost didnt even want to go after getting ready!

I am on modified bed rest but my OB said i could go places once a week or so if i get a wheelchair. it was sooooo nice to get out of the house!  Money is tight since I am not working so i somehow did not buy one thing..  but it was still fun!

I dont know how i am not napping right now.

  • I'm right there with you all. My feet are like sausages and it hurts to stand for too long. And I'm just so tired. But then I can't sleep. I can nap for a few hours, but real sleep eludes me. I'm so glad to only have a few more weeks of work.

  • I'm not having bad swelling or anything, but my brackston hicks are constantly keeping me up at night, and they are just starting to get downright painful.  This leads me to getting little sleep, so the next day I have no energy.  I am completely void of any nesting instinct at this point too, which disappoints me.  I just have no motivation to leave the house, or do anything at the house.  I am also not interested in catching up with friends at this point.  I am just ready for the baby.  I find out on Sept 30th what the plan is - C-section or induction.  Oh, and I am so over the diabetes, insulin 4x a day, etc.

I have really enjoyed being pregnant, and I know this may never happen again for us, so I am trying to appreciate every day I have before the baby is here, but its just getting harder and harder to do.  I'm glad I'm not the only one.

  • Yes, I find that I have some energy when I get up in the morning but it quickly runs out.  I have been just trying to pace myself as best I can. I am definitely having more swelling now. Luckily most of the baby related stuff is done. I am sterilizing the bottles/nipples/pacifiers tonight and then we are pretty set other than throwing a few last  things in our hospital bag. I am working like mad to get my large projects finished up at work.

Hang in there! We're almost there!
