where do you keep your diapers?

I have them in small cubby openings of a bookcase type dresser thing still inside the packages.  I think taking them out of the package each time, may prove annoying.  However, if I take a bunch out, I dont want them to get dusty while they are waiting for use.

am I weird to even think this?

Re: where do you keep your diapers?

  • I'm using cloth and my changing table is just a changing pad on top of a 3 drawer dresser.  So I have all the diapers in those 3 drawers, in baskets.  You can put them in baskets if you have them or one of those diaper holder thingies.

  • I don't think your weird for that.  I still have our disposables still in packages and our pre-folds are washed and put away so they won't get dusty or whatever could happen.  I keep thinking that I'll have ten minutes to put them all out where I want them when LO comes along.  Geesh!  I hope I'm right!  Lol!

  • I have them in the diaper staker thingy which came with the bedding set. It's tied to the changing table - so far that looks handy, but who knows...

I am also using cloth but have a few disposables to start out with. Our changing table is on top of a large dresser and the top drawers are full of diapering supplies.

  • I have my cloth diapers in a dresser drawer on our changing table. The disposable diapers from the diaper cake at my shower are in a basket sitting on top of e dresser/ changing table. I didn't think about them getting dusty, but my ability to make decisions regarding things that might come up post delivery is pretty poor at this point. It's almost like I can't thnk of life past delivery right now.
  • they won't get dusty....they get changed about 8-10x a day.  now, even with my son who now only uses 2-3 a day , they're fine.   i keep them in a basket on a shelf of our changing table.

  • I keep them in the packages in the closet, and use a basket to store a few at a time, along with wipes, rash ointment, and other little toiletries.  I keep the basket on the dresser next to his changing pad.  That is the same thing I did with Jack, and it worked well.  I still use the basket with him, but it is now under his bed because he is WAY to big to put on a changing table.

  • Mine are still packed away, but will end up in a basket in the changing table. I already have wipes and butt stuff in the basket, but haven't opened diapers yet. I don't know if I will need NB or size 1. So I don't want to open them until we get home.

  • With DS, we always intended to put them in a basket on the changing table. Most of the time they end up staying in the box on the floor next to his dresser. Doesn't look the prettiest but it works.

  • I am going through diaper cakes. But I keep them in the dresser with the changing pad or in a caddy I got at the hospital.

  • I keep the boxes of diapers in the closet, and am keeping maybe 50 or so in the bin under LO's changing table. I'm really not worried about them getting dusty since we'll be going through about 10 a day while LO is young.

  • I have a package of diapers in a basket on my changing table. And another set in another basket underneath the bassinet. (So I don't have to constantly walk upstairs to change the baby.

The rest I have in the closet. I will just refill the baskets as I need to.

  • I have diapers under the changing table in a basket on the upper shelf.  I have the big packages of them on a shelf in her closet.  I will just refill it as needed.  We also have a changing caddy downstairs and I put a few diapers in there as well as the little organizer that goes on the side of the PNP we're using in our room.  I won't fill anything up with diapers yet though until she's here because I won't even know what size is appropriate for her until then.  And no - you're definitely not weird, :)
