Does anyone use the britax roundabout 55 for their newborn? If so did you need to use the foam infant insert as well as the added head support? (sold separately)
As we have both of these inserted in the car seat, but then the seat doesnt look like the baby will be in the 45 degree angle. Almost looks like that the foam insert positions the baby up to straight. We arent sure if the insert is necessary. We haven't had our baby yet so we wont know until she is born how big she is and if we need all the added extras to the seat.
Re: Britax roundabout 55 for infants?
I'm not comfortable with putting that little of a baby in a convertible. They don't recline enough.
We put DD1 in her Roundabout at 6 months, when she had great head control and could sit up.
We had one for my daughter. The hospitals here check the carseats before you leave to make sure they're safe. They told me that if i was in a car accident, her arms and legs would break because it didnt tighten up enough. FREAKED ME OUT!
My mom went and got a Graco one from BRU. We have a Britax Marathon for with LO gets a little bit bigger but an infant seat for until then.
agreed. there is a reason most everyone buys one! plus using it "only til 20lbs" could be a year. are you having anymore kids? they can use it too....totally worth it IMO.
