Pregnant after a Loss

:-( Failed my 1 Hour GTT

So I have a huge family history of diabetes. With my increased thirst and palipitations, my OB wanted to do the 1 hour early (did it the same way with my first pregnancy). This time I failed. The good news is I failed by only one point. 135 acceptable. 136 not. So now I have to do the 3 hour. When they repeat it at 28w, I'll bypass the 1 hr and go straight to the 3 hr again. Boooo This blows.

I hope it's nothing. I'm way to early to have an abnormal 3 hour one. I'm pretty sure I'd have go to on insulin if it's already a problem. Anybody else have this experience? What was your outcome?

ETA: This is going to be a PNR. I have an OB appt (eek!) at 2:40. Thinking it'll be a doppler check and maybe an exam.

  • I don't know why, but I'm so scared of GD.  Maybe it's because I just loooove my sweets so much. Hoping the 3 hour goes well and you don't have to take insulin.  Good luck at your appointment today!!
