isn't it too early for sciatica?!

I have been having the WORST shooting pain, starting on the right side of my butt (haha, my first literal pain in the butt), sometimes going down the back of my thigh. It comes and goes, and is painful! Googling it, and I guess it might be sciatica? But I'm only 9w6d, I didn't think this was a common first trimester ailment :/ Anyone else dealing with this?

    I also have been having pain on the right side of my butt (wierd ha... same side) anyways my pain doesnt spread, it feels more like a pinched nerve. I asked my doctor on my last appt and he said is probably the way I'm carrying the baby.

    I had sciatica long before getting pregnant but its certainly gotten worse lately.  Go to a chiropractor, they can work wonders!

    I have had it since about week 7 which I thought was crazy.  I know that it is normal but yesterday at my appointment I asked just to make sure.  My Dr. said that it is totally normal and to try a heating pad.  He said it is due to all the movement and stretching of muscles/ligaments along with all of the hormones.

    I've had the exact same pain the last week, and posted about it a couple days ago. My doctor said it's a bit early for that, but it's normal, and unfortunately will probably get worse. He suggested acupuncture, massage or a chiropractor. I have an appointment on Tuesday with a chiropractor who specializes in maternity care so I'm helping she can help me. In the mean time, a heating pad really helps.

    NO! It CAN'T be too early for it! This is my 4th baby, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I SWEAR it's starting to kick in! A chiropractor helps best with me! Good luck!

    Sounds like what I'm having, though mine is localized to my hip and it's only if I lay flat on my back =0( I started getting it with DD3, it never really "went away" but it faded.  I'm getting it again already and I'll be 12wks tomorrow =0(

    I've been having a pain in my butt since 8 weeks. I thought that was too early for pregnancy-related sciatica and that I must have somehow pinched a nerve, but it's still there, and I'm starting to wonder...  I've had sciatica before, and at first this was dull and didn't really feel like it to me, but it's starting to feel more and more like the real thing.
