Maybe I'm just crazy...but dh and I had two names picked out..one for a boy and one for a girl and we were so excited about those names...
Now that we are expecting two it feels like it is so much harder trying to pick out two equally cute names...It just seems like a lot of work to me..and every time I sit down to start looking at baby names I get a headache and just quit lol. I feel like I'm being a terrible mom to be.
Re: Not excited to pick out names??
Maybe they will be b/g? After saying that, we didn't pick out the names until we found out the gender around 17 weeks or so. Even then we weren't sure of DD's name until we thought about it for awhile.
Here's how we picked out a name:
1. We separtley made a list of names that we liked, then ranked them
2. We crossed names off each other's list that we absolutley didn't like
3. We then put the names we had left together and ranked again, and decided!
Good Luck, it's not an easy choice!
You have plenty of time! Are you going to find out the sexes? Maybe wait until you know what they are to start stressing about names. You might be able to use the boy/girl names you were excited about!
Good luck!
We didn't decide names until we found out genders at 20 weeks and then the names just fell into place! It will happen- don't stress!
A wife to the most amazing man I know.
&
A photographer who loves capturing memories.
Nope, it was super hard for us! B didn't have her name until she was 3 days old. We just couldn't decide.
We had A named very very early on because it was a name I'd picked years ago. It's overwhelming to know you are sticking them with something for the rest of their lives!!
I can totally relate. We had such a hard time with names. We agreed on 2 boy names right away, but of course we had girls. Once we knew they were girls, we had the name conversation about 2-3x/week and it never went well. We ended up going to the hospital with no clue what the names would be. But we took a list of our faves and DD picked 1 name, DH picked 1 name and I picked 2 (y'know, cause I did all the damn work). Then we were able to quickly figure out the order and everybody was happy.
Waiting until they were here really worked out well for us, because we immediately had opinions on what name "looked" best on them.
This, I loved my daughter's name but it's also a very famous name and we were concerned about her being teased, in the end we went with the name because we just loved it.
I can't totally relate to this. We pretty much only had one name we could agree on for a boy and girl. But we ended up expecting b/g twins so it worked out in the end. Thank god because my husband is HORRIBLE to try and reason names with!
oh man picking out names is so hard!! We had our girls name picked out in no time. We both had the same name as our number 1 pick. Naming the boy....way different. He was Baby Boy B for three days after he was born. Good luck.

My twin's birth story
I think you guys had a great idea. I might just have to take it.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
Another thought is that you could post your names and we could help you think of equally cute matches!
