Costco vs Amazon Mom

We are still using gifted diapers (yah!) but soon need to start buying them (wah!)
At costco this last weekend, I took note of their size 2 258 count Huggies Diapers for $39.98 which is .155 each.

Today I went onto Amazon mom and even with the subscribe and save, the diapers are .19 each. Am I missing something or is costco a better deal unless amazon mom has additional sales?

Thanks!

Re: Costco vs Amazon Mom

  • I actually found that warehouses were better than amazon mom.  We use BJs.  They almost always have a pampers coupon that I then match with a manufacturing coupon.  We end up buying diapers for .13-.15 a diaper.  Btw...5 months and still using gifted diapers is AWESOME!!
U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

  • amazon mom was awesome when they had those 20% off coupons to stack!

that said, we still use amazon mom.  we buy luvs and they are a good deal there.  and i have an amazon credit card and earn points.

  • The fact that Amazon diapers arrive at my door and need to be carried just 15 feet to the nursery is worth whatever small extra they may charge. Even without the boys, there's no way in hell I want to deal with driving to Costco, wondering around, loading giant boxes into the car, and driving home all to save $10. I can't find time to brush my teeth some days.

  • Hmm... not sure what you are looking at.. but on Amazon right now, Huggies snug and dry (which is what they have at Costco) is $0.15 per diaper.

Also, if I remember correctly, my costco didn't have size 2 huggies, only size 1/2 or size 3.  Those are available right now on Amazon for $0.11 and $0.14.

Size 2 is a weird one for Huggies since don't offer that in the large pack hence the higher price.

  • amazon used to have better deals when they had the coupons in the magazines.... and the fact that you don't have to go anywhere = sweet.

did you do the subscribe and save?   That's what I use - b/c i LOOOOVE that I don't have to go anywhere for diapers -they show up every 2 months at my door - and are a good price... might not be THE cheapest I can find (If i was shopping around) but they are a great price, and show up all by themselves :)

I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.

  • I stock up on Huggies at Costco whenever there is a coupon. Usually the coupon is $5 or $6. I have been stocking up on diapers since I found out I was pregnant. I have 9 boxes downstairs. I guess once we run out of our supply I might look into diapers. So, I end up only buying 2 cases every 3 months or so.

Also, our Costco has size 2 in Huggies and they just recently started carrying size newborn and size 1 and wipes all in one box.

This. And we like using Pampers Baby Dry, which Costco doesn't carry.

This!  To know that I don't have to think if I have diapers... they just arrive, is priceless in my book.

We do however buy Kirkland wipes bc we feel they are way more durable (thicker and don't have fragrance).

  • I've never bought diapers from amazon mom.  Once we ran out of gifted diapers we bought Costco and still do.  I usually buy the kirkland unless I have a coupon like I did this week for $6 off huggies.  We also buy our wipes there (kirkland) and love them.  GL!
