? about DIY fleece liners or wipes

Do I need to serge these or do any other finishing work or can I just cut it?  I'm probably going to just do liners for now but will be doing some wipes later on (those will likely be two sided with another fabric so I'll obviously sew those).

  • I just cut my fleece liners--not even pinking shears.  they've been fine

  • I just used regular scissors on mine and they have been going strong for 3-4 months now.

  • Fleece won't unravel so you don't need to do anything other than cut them to the size you want.  For my wipes I just did a zigzag stitch around the edge to finish them since they're made from old t-shirts and flannel.

  • I made a TON of wipes using terry on one side and flannel on the other. They've held up strong for 15 months of continuous use, but i'll have to make a fresh set for baby #2. Ditto PP on the fleece liners, just cut and toss in the washer... I had to wash them a couple times to semi-prep them.
