Cheesy Potato Recipe!!

Since everyone seemed excited about it, I decided to post it today and not wait until tomorrow. They are super cheesy and super good. Love em!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 Bag of Orieda Southern Style Hash Browns (small cubed potato) or slice fresh potatoes but that takes alot longer.

3 cups of Mild Shredded Cheddar Cheese.

1 small box of Velveeta Cheese (dice it).

1 pack of Cubed Ham (or bacon or whatever meat you like, or no meat).

1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup.

1/2 cup of Mayo or Miracle Whip.

1/2 cup of Sour Cream.

3/4 cup of Heavy Whipping Cream.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Thaw the potatoes in a large mixing bowl. All add the ingredients EXCEPT half of the heavy whipping cream. Stir to mix. Pour into a buttered baking dish (cake pan size). Pour the rest of the heavy whipping cream on top and pat in. Bake at 350 for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour until the top is slightly golden brown.

Then stuff your face!!!

Enjoy!

  • I make a slightly different version of this for holidays or potlucks, but we called them Party Potatoes!  Sometimes we call them cheesy potatoes, but they all taste delicious!  In my recipe, we crunch up cornflakes and mix them with a little melted butter, and add them on top and bake it, and it gives it such a great crunch!  I'll have to try adding some ham into mine next time!
  • Oh wow!!!  Yeah that looks like a good one for the holidays!  Looks delish!  Minus the ham for me I think.

  • It's cool to see variations on this recipe!  Our favorite is:

    1 bag frozen potatoes

1 can cream of chicken soup

    1 container sour cream

    1 stick of melted butter

    2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

Salt, pepper, onion powder to taste

Mix and put in casserole dish.  Bake at 350 for 1+ hour

If we're trying to make a lower cal version, we use healthy request soup, light sour cream, and half the butter.

     Now I want some!!

This is the one I use too!  You can use any kind of hashbrowns.  I like the cube style ones.  Some people put the corn flakes on top like a poster up above said, but for some reason, i don't like that.  Not just on these, not ony any casseroles.  Just my style.  These are a staple at every Thanksgiving and Christmas and Easter.
