Pretty much all of C's bibs have spit-up stains on them. Is there any way to get these out w/out using bleach? They've already been washed and the stains are pretty set. It's not a huge deal, I was just wondering if anyone had a genius tip for this.
I was just going to post this same question. I just finished up a load of A's clothes and noticed her bibs are gross. I hope someone has a great answer.
If it's just spitup, you could try sunning them. Get them wet and hang them outside or in a sunny window to dry. The sun is great for natural stains, like spitup and poop.

That's what I was going to suggest, too. We haven't tried it for spit up but one day in the sun is enough to totally remove the poop stains from his diapers or clothes.
Thanks for the tips, mamas. Several stained bibs are in the wash now. I'm going to stick them out in the sun to dry and see if that makes a difference. Most of the stains are from spitup, but a few are from baby food like carrots and sweet potatoes. If this doesn't work, maybe I'll try the Ivory soap.
Mix oxyclean + white vinegar and soak them for a half hour then lay them in the sun A friend of mine that does cloth diapers swears by it for her diapers, but as a mother of a reflux baby, I swear by it for bibs and burp cloths GL!

Thanks, that sounds like a great tip! C had reflux too, and has grown out of the worst of it, but he still spits up quite a bit after feedings.
If they were fresh stains, oxyclean should work really well. But if they've been in there for months, it might not work. Whenever one of the kids gets a stain, like a blowout, we soak the clothes in oxyclean for a few hours and presto! Stain gone.
