Ebay shoes question

So, I'm looking for shoes on eBay (for the first time). There are some good deals on pre-owned shoes, but once you add the shipping, it's practically the price of a new shoe? Is there any way to get discounts on shipping or combine with other items or anything? Just curious. Thanks!

Re: Ebay shoes question

  • You can always ask the seller. Most of them do combined shipping.

  • The only pair of shoes I bought off ebay were a pair of pewter heels when I was probably 20 years old. They were hot looking, and $0.01! Yes, one penny. Think I paid like 3 or 5 bucks for shipping but the shoes were brand new. Think it was a wanna be designer or something.. That or they "fell off a truck" somewhere. Love those dang shoes.
  • You just need to wait for the next deal.  You'll should find the occasional deal for gently used + shipping should still be half the price of regular retail.  I think I paid $6 for some early walker shoes for DS + $5 for shipping.  They were gently used.  Just fine considering how fast his feet are growing!  I definitely have him wear socks in anything used.  And I still spray them with Lysol or something.

Otherwise, we went to Stride Rite to get fitted and we ended up buying when they had a sale of buy one get one half off.  They had some tennis shoes on clearance so while the first pair was on "sale" for $29, the 2nd pair was only $12. ($24 clearance plus half off)
