Stride Rite sizes

Looks like the theme for this morning is kids shoes :)

I took my 13 mo DD to Stride Rite and the shoes I bought were a tennis shoe size 7 XW. I really can't afford to buy her another pair of $50 shoes, but she needs some boots/winter dress shoes. I think the shoes are a little long for her but she walks just fine.

Any suggestions on other brands for wide feet? Or sizing options? I want to get some shoes tonight after work and won't have her with me to try on shoes.

    I took LO to stride rite, got her sized, bought her 1 pair to wear now, then went on ebay. There's a lot of shoes for sale. Some are barely worn. Not sure if that's your thing or not, just an option. I hate to spend a lot of money on shoes she'll grow out of soon.

    Ebay or consignment sales. I have gotten some great shoes in good shape at/on both.

    If you have a stride rite outlet nearby, you can usually get really great prices on shoes. and there's always an overabundance of xw shoes there.
