XP from TTGP: Q about Ontario specialists & Intro

Good morning Ladies,
I was referred over to this board for some local help, and just wnat to inroduce myself. I am currently on Cycle 2 TTC and have been charting since mid last cycle. Since this cycle has been so long with no O, I am having tests done with my Dr. to try and figure out why and I have an ultrasound tomorrow (blood tests normal). I'm pretty sure that either way I will be referred to an OB/GYN to discuss my options.
I know that generally the ladies on here(TTGP) recommend Fertility drugs/treatments to go to an RE, but I've looked and the closest one is over an hour away.
Is anyone seeing a Gyno with IF experience, in a clinic type setting, and getting the proper care, and monitoring, etc? My Dr. mentioned clomid during my last visit and it makes me nervous, based on everything I've read about it, to do it with an OB/GYN. Any info would help. I live in Hamilton if anyone is nearby.

Welcome! As I mentioned on TTGP I have no experience with this, but thought I'd introduce myself. We are on cycle 2 as well, living in the Kitchener area.

It's not that busy! Many people don't know it's here.. there's 4 of us that post daily (all from Southern Ontario inc. Hamilton).
Definitely much quieter and drama free compared to TTGP - we prefer it that way! lol
My BFF is currently seeing Dr. Cepeda at Hart Fertility Centre on Main St in Hamilton. He's AMAZING! He's managed to get one of my friends pregnant and has been the best fertility doctor my BFF has ever seen in her 5 years of dealing with IF. I'm not sure if he's what you're looking for but he comes very highly recommended if you can get a referral to see him!
My BFF is currently doing Clomid with Injectibles for IUI.

Its so weird to me right now, that we can talk about specific areas and streets. kinda blowing my mind, lol.
I've seen the Hart Fertility clinic online and love the recommendation... My Dr. is in Oakville though, so I don't know if he will refer me to someone in Hamilton. I hope so becuase its so much closer for me. I also work in Burlington, so the clinics in Burlington wouldn't be bad either. Is Dr. Cepeda an OB/GYN, or RE?
So are you ladies TTC as well? for how long?
Hopefully your Doctor will. I'm sure if you ask he may. My one girlfriend did request him and her Dr had no problem recommending her to him. I'm not too sure what his qualifications are. I THINK he's an RE.
Yup we're TTC. This is our 7th cycle. (Ugh) Hoping this one is it but we shall see!

I don't have any advice w/ TTTC and IF, we got lucky our 2nd cycle, but, I do live in Hamilton!
I am new to the board as well! I don't know how helpful it will be, as I was treated by an OB/GYN on the west coast. He was the director of the fertility clinic, and as far as I know, was not an RE. I had full confidence in him, as he did the full workup and monitoring (u/s, BW, testing prior to starting treatment, etc.) There were no RE's anywhere near us, so it was our only option anyway! And we conceived DS while under his care
