Rollin' deep (SD related)
Last night SD showed up for his supervised visitation in a brand new truck. Not just an ordinary truck, oh no, that wouldn't do for SD. It's a 2012 Dodge 3500 which, just stock is probably starting at around $50K. Add offroad tires, rims, a headache rack and probably an exhaust system (I couldn't tell about this) and it's probably pushing $55-$60K.
To say I was livid when I saw this would be an understatement. Nevermind the fact that he's been paying CS since June. He still owes $14K for the entire year that he didn't pay a dime. On top of that, he also still owes $4,500 for the PG&E bill that he neglected to pay, which got attached to my residence.
I couldn't even look at him or speak to him I was so angry. I don't know how it was even possible for him to get a brand new vehicle, given his horrible credit, and the fact that the CS arrears balance is still following him. It just seems that no matter what, he is able to work around the system, and because of that, I am frustrated.
I will be emailing the CS officer this morning but as far as I know there is little to nothing that can be done about this (as usual). Sorry for whining girls, this one really threw me for a loop.

I would venture to say that the loan isn't in his name.

I'm sure you're right, or he has a co-signer. I'm not quite sure how it all works or who would even be dumb enough to put a vehicle in his possession in their name (I even hesitate to say that his parents are that stupid although they've surprised me before).
Are you sure it's HIS truck, and not just a friend's that he's borrowing to make your head spin?
FF has the same truck, a 2012 Dodge 3500. His is a diesel, dually, fully loaded, quad cab...and it was $46k new. He's put a lot of extras into it since then, but I know from seeing the pics of SD's truck, it's probably aroudn the same....

It COULD be someone elses' but somehow I doubt it, just because of the special kind of idiot that he is. I also emailed a mutual friend after I saw it (who he ALSO owes money too, consequently) and she said he had driven it by her and her BF's house just to show it off, earlier that day. So, idk, maybe not his, but probably somehow it actually is.

I haven't spoken to SD in over a year n a half but people think they need to tell me when he buys a brand new 40k+ BMW. I was sooo far from being impressed! Well until the whole story came out later that he bought this "beautiful" car....then got an excessive DUI later that evening bahaha. That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

Exactly. Or he's using his dealer's car for drug runs.

Long story
When I took Wy down to FL I stayed with my friend. I fly standby because of my Dad, and I ended up getting in town earlier than expected at 11 am and she was working til 4. SO it was either sit at the airport with a cranky toddler OR have him come get us to take us to her condo. Cabs kinda scare me lol .
UGH. I hate, hate, HATE that your X (and mine) still appear to have life by the balls and get whatever they want. I felt the exact same way when XH showed up DRIVING a shiny new pickup a few weeks ago. He is supposed to have a barred license until 2014 and a suspended license until 2016 but somehow finagled the DOT to give him a worker's permit already. He is supposed to be in prison for a probation violation back in February, instead he was jailed for 7 days instead of one year.
Last week he proceeded to whine about how he can't afford to pay a couple hundred dollars of CS (some of B's medical expenses), can't afford cable or internet, and 2 days later posted his awesome 50 yard line view from the big college game on Saturday on FB (for which tickets were not cheap!). I wish karma would hurry and catch up to both our XH's!
Is that energy bill still attached to you and/or your house?!
Yes, yes it is! That's the main reason why I was so angry. It's like, just pay that bill off and I wouldn't really care. I hate worrying about it each month.
