I've been craving fruit! Green apples, kiwi and strawberries. I'm glad Im craving for the fruits now, cause before it was sour candy, couldnt get enough of it.
peanut butter on a slice of whole wheat bread and a piece of fruit. I don't really do snacks though.. I just eat breakfast and then a second breakfast (1st one might be cereal and then I eat a high protein breakfast a couple of hours later). Lunch is a pb sandwich with fruit and dinner is chicken with veggies. That's IF my husband doesn't decide to come home with take out.. then I am really hosed b/c I cannot look at pizza and not eat it.
At least for lent I gave up fast food, pork and red meat. It eliminates a lot of the 'bad foods' that I ate.. bacon, sausage, hamburgers, tacos..
My doctor and I are both hoping that my weight gain can stay the same for the next six weeks. Wish me luck!
Actually, I'm on a major fruit kick the last couple of weeks as well. I figure it's better than chips or cookies, so I'm sticking with that until the craving shifts to something else.
Generally fruit.....sometimes a yogurt or string cheese. I wouldn't encourage cutting back on fruit as a snack. We are supposed to be gaining weight...we are growing a human inside of us, and fruit is giving you and your baby tons of vitamins, antioxidants and other nutrients.
It upsets me that a doctor would suggest to someone to cut back on fruit as a snack.
Definitely lots of fruit, greek yogurt, wheat pretzel braids, toast with pb/j, almonds, crackers or carrots with hummus, cottage cheese, chocolate chips, pickles... and today I just discovered something I'm sure I'll be eating again: sharp cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread with jam! Mmmmm.

Sugar free, gluten free, and most of them are high in protein! They are great for in between meals, or even for a busy day the meal! (Especially the 20g protein bars). Mind you it can be a hit and miss with flavor. I tried to eat the white chocolate raspberry today and I hated it.
Dried fruit too, bought some from Trader Joes and its YUMMY!
Really, I haven't been as snacky the last month or two as I was at the beginning of pregnancy. I keep a few granola bars in my purse in case of one of those crazy moments where I go from totally fine to STARVING and I'm out and about.
i try my hardest not to snack...... i try to eat meals when i'm hungry and usually it will see me through to the next meal.... but yes - green apples for me when i just can't get food out of my head!

Green apples, dried apricots, yogurt covered raisins, cheese and crackers, rice cakes with peanut butter, nuts, granola bars, yogurt... with the occasional less healthy snack mixed in because I'm only human!
Peaches, apples, strawberries and blueberries are my favorite fruit snacks right now. I also eat mixed nuts, crackers with peanut butter spread on them, yogurt, and I try to keep an organic protein bar with me for emergencies.

I bounce back and forth between "good" food and "bad" food... and so far, neither seems to be negatively effecting my weight. I seem to go in two week spells... two weeks "bad", two weeks "good." lol . Right now I'm on a "bad" spell...a nd all I want to snack on is Spicy Nacho Doritos. haha. (Heartburn sucks, but I just can't stop eating them!)
I also gave up fast food for lent as well as all sodas. Hoping that it helps with finances as well and we plan on not eating out for a month too. As for snacks I have found a soynut mix from costco that's really good. I eat organic apples w and w/out peanut butter or yogurt for snacks also.

Re: What do you snack on?
Anything from fruit to salt and vinegar chips (more of a craving with that one).

everything... cereal is my favorite right now though
let's see... what else
raw hot dogs, flame i know
wheat thins
cookies
bagels
basically whatever i have around the house, but i've been keeping it decent when i buy stuff at the store...
No flame here...to each their own...but when you say raw, do you really mean uncooked hot dog??? Never heard of that before!
The one thing I cannot give up is fruit. I LOVE IT! Other things I snack on include:
Almonds, raw cashews, raisins, prunes, popcorn, sunflower seeds, carrots, sugar snap peas, popsicles/ice cream
Oh, and I sometimes get a craving for cinnamon candy and the latest has been for Cadbury eggs (bad, I know), but this doesn't happen often.
I have discovered Think Thin. https://www.thinkproducts.com/2011/

YES... like straight from the open package... turkey dogs if that makes it any better, not beef hot dogs. those taste gross raw.
don't know why, it's a weird pregnancy thing for me... i've done it with each baby lol
Ummmm, Thin Mints, we are on our 5th box :x and Gushers.
In all fairness though I also do strawberries, apples, bananas and blackberries. It's not as bad as it sounds.
