S/o DC's post below, a PSA about storing your toxic chemicals:
Always keep them in the original bottle. Never store something in a bottle intended for ingestion. Ex:
- 2 kids broke into their neighbors barn because they knew he had a big bottle of alcohol (vodka presumably) in there. It was an old alcohol bottle, but it was currently storing antifreeze. They're in the ICU, on dialysis.
- 11 yo helping out grandpa in his garage. Kid gets thirsty and sees a can of Coke. Takes a big swig before he realizes it isn't coke. It's motor oil. He was admitted to the hospital.
- 5 yo in basement with parents. Kid sees a baby food jar on the shelf, grabs it and drinks. It was turpentine. Kid was ultimately okay, but was hospitalized.
Also, I've seen a boat load of ingestions due to that stupid Fabuloso detergent/floor cleaner. It's typically sold in Hispanic supermarkets, in bottles that look like soda bottles, and it comes in purple, orange and turquoise. I don't know how Palmolive can continue to package it with the number of ingestions that occur. I even thought it was soda!
So, if you have old motor oil don't store it in a soda can. Don't keep antifreeze in Vodka bottles, and if you keep paint or paint thinner in baby jars, keep it locked up high.
Re: Ingestion PSA
One would think. I'm shocked it keeps happening.
That would scare the shiit out of me.
On a side note though, someone should seriously invent a baby-safe non toxic product that produces berry scented poops. Heck, not even just for babies. I want berry scented poop!
Can we make that for dogs too?
No kidding. I hate smelling sh!t. It makes me gag. I would love to sprinkle berry smelling salts on to DH's food for better smelling farts.
Thank you! Vinegar might sting your eyes for a second, but if Jack sprays himself with bleach it will be much worse!
