I am inviting 21 kids to Caroline's birthday party. Most are toddlers, some are bigger kids.
I'm not expecting anywhere near that many to show up...but I still feel like I need to have something for them to do.
Any thoughts? I've rented a big room at the multipurpose center, so we have some space to play with.
The theme is barnyard/farm animal if that helps...
Re: Birthday Party activities for 2 year olds?
When they're that little less is more.
For 1-2 years old one of the biggest hits I've seen is ordering a bunch of beach balls off oriental trading company and having a bunch of beach balls around the room.
Maybe a coloring station. (buy a couple of coloring books at the dollar store and tear some pages out). Stickers and blank paper are good for the 2+ crowd too. Again dollar store will have sticker books in different gender themes and you can tear the sheets out.
If they'll let you blow bubbles that's always entertaining for them too. I bought a bubble machine for Dylan's first birthday party and we used it for 1 and 2 with good success.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

We just had a family party for DD's 2nd birthday, so no other kids except a small cousin or two. But, a cousin of mine had a bigger Minnie Mouse themed party for her 2 yr old. They had a coloring station, a pinata, and a clown that did balloons. We didn't go (it was out of state) but it looked like a lot of fun.
I like the bubble idea, too. What 2 yr old doesn't love bubbles? They also make good party favors.
