Christmas gift ideas.. .I have no idea

I have absolutely no idea what to get my ds for Christmas and on top of that his 2nd birthday is a month later. I've given our family all of my ideas... we are not going over the top but I do want him to have something ... Tell me what you are getting your DC for Christmas. Unfortunately they will not give $$ to his college fund which is what we'd like. We will probably do that and get him a little something... ideas?

    Books or a craft station.  LIke a big chalk board that is chalk board on one side with a big drawing pad on the other.  We are getting DD a kitchen and Elmo Live.

    I second art supplies that you can do with him at home. Or a small table and chairs for him to play at.

    We're putting money in DD's RESP, but we wanted her to have something to open so we got that Crayola TaDoodles art station. She loves her bathtub crayons, so hopefully she'll like this as well. We're telling family practical things like winter clothing, books -- anything but piles of toys we can't fit in our little house :)

    I second the small table/chairs. Ours is from Ikea and she uses it every day. We're getting her a play kitchen and a "band in a box" plus some Skippyjon Jones books.

    The big thing on DS Christmas list is YMCA gift certificates.  He has SO many toys, doesn't need anymore clothes.  I said YMCA GC for swim classes and other stuff like that there.

    We are getting him a phylate free ball pit, twin bed, and this thing that connects to make a tunnel and had mini tents inbetween.

    Although it's a little bulky, it won't end up in 300 pieces on the floor.  Plus, his new thing lately is hiding in closets.

    DS is getting a winter coat, a booster seat, a potty seat, step stool, Handy Manny truck with tools, the Bounce back racer, a piggy bank since he broke his, a growth chart, clothes, color wonder paper and markers, the color and copy thing, books, and puzzles

     

    THis is not all from us, but things I have requested from relatives also.
