Is there a difference between the Be band you get at Target and all the different ones I see online? I have two pregnant friends who both thought the Target version was uncomfortable.
I don't expect to be in maternity pants for quite some time, but it would feel good to unbutton my jeans towards the end of my work day.
What bands do you have that you love? Also, how many do I need? Do you wear the same one every day or just get different colors to match your outfits (I'm thinking black and white)?
Re: Be bands/ belly bands/ bella bands
I haven't buttoned my pants in 2 weeks.
I bought one from Motherhood Maternity that was $17 and is 85% nylon 15% spandex. It's super stretchy, and I love it, but don't think I could afford a very large supply of those.
I bought a bunch of bebella bands from ebay (https://stores.ebay.com/4Mom-and-Me_Belly-Bands_W0QQ_fsubZ19967419QQ_scZ1QQ_sidZ223044950QQ_sopZ1QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322
Not my site, just happened to purchase from there). I got the black and white ones with lace, and the set of 4 prints. These are 90% cotton 10% lycra and are not that stretchy. I think I will need to wash them every couple of wears. The colors aren't great, but with some adjustments throughout the day, they keep my pants up. More importantly, my shirts are beginning to get shorter (thank you beer belly and bigger boobs). I like the fact that they cover my back and belly in case I'm reaching for something or leaning over. The tags do itch like crazy though!

A friend of mine works at Motherhood and told me the difference between their Tummy Sleeve and the Bella Band is that the Motherhood one is a one size fits all kind of deal. The Bella Band goes by your size (there are 4 sizes) so they are tighter and work better to keep your pants up.
However, the Motherhood Tummy Sleeve is like $20 in Canada and the Bella Band is $40 so I guess you get what you pay for.

This. I actually never wore maternity dress pants to work because the b-band worked so well.
I have worn the one from Target with jeans for a few weeks now because my pants don't button most days. I wear it doubled over because it hides the buttons better. I have the white one and when it's a single layer you can see through it and see that my pants are unbottoned.
Anyway, they were fine at first but I am tired of having to adjust it all the time and with some pants it lays weird because my buttons are so far apart.
I can see it working better with a thinner material like dress pants, as PP said. I do not work outside of the home though so I don't ever wear dress pants. Jeans are my every day wear. I plan to get a pair of maternity jeans this weekend.
