I just went to the MFM today for my growth scan, and baby A only gained 5 ounces and baby B only gained 2 ounces in the last 2 weeks. I'm 35 weeks today. At first, her measurements said that baby B lost weight, but then she remeasured like 3 times. I know these are only estimates, and they are running out of room in there, but they have been gaining so well so far. She didn't seem very concerned, and my last NST looked great, but I'm still a little shocked that they gained so little in 2 weeks. Please tell me this is normal.
Re: Babies growth slow way down near the end?
I'm only 24 weeks, but I went to MFM today and the specialist there said that they will begin rapid weight gain around 24 weeks and then plateau at 32 weeks b/c of the lack of space. So it sounds like exactly what we were told today.
Wishing you the best! You're almost there!
I went to my MFM on Monday, and Baby A gained about 5 ounces and Baby B didn't gain much at all. They didn't seem concerned at all and said it could of been the position of the babies or they are just slowing down in growing, which happens in multiples.
