Was it an overnight thing? I keep waiting to "pop," and I keep thinking that something is happening, but it hasn't yet. Of course, I have no idea what to expect. It's like every 2ww when we were TTC, when I was expecting to "feel pregnant" and then, when I actually was, it felt nothing like I thought it might.
I'm pretty sure I have located where my uterus is now resting, just behind and above my pubic bone, but it hasn't gotten so big yet that it has come out of that place. My mid-abdomen is more swollen with bloat (I guess), but I know the baby is nowhere near that part of me yet.
The lower part looks exactly the same. When I take my bump pic tonight, I'll see that it looks exactly like last week's.
Is it too early for me to expect these changes? Before pregnancy, I worked out a lot and my core was very tight, especially my lower abs. I'm thinking they might be holding it down there longer than it would for someone else... I literally sit around at night letting my abs stretch out and relax, trying to tell them it's okay to let go.....
Okay, I'm sounding like a crazy person now, so I'll stop typing and see what everyone else says...
Re: For those who have "popped" on this pregnancy or previous ones...
I don't know that I've really "popped," but I thought I'd reply anyway.
Sort of in the morning, but more by the end of the day, I definitely look bigger. At this point though, it might not be bloat - your uterus is getting bigger, and with your bowels getting more full as the day goes on, they have nowhere else to go but up and out. I remember reading that weeks ago, but I completely forgot...so I was still telling people that it was "just bloat," when really it was kind of the baby (mostly guts and stuff though...lovely!).
That being said, I don't really have anything in the lower pelvic region yet - just my actual stomach area. I just posted about it, but I had to start telling people at school today because apparently it is "obvious" that I'm pregnant and people are wondering why I'm still keeping it a secret.
I didn't pop with DD1 until around 18 wks or so. But I have a tilted uterus, so it was expanding toward my spine before coming out. I popped slightly earlier with DD2, around 14 wks and I started to show this time around - carrying twins - at about 12 wks. All three were an "overnight" pop.
You're not crazy, you're just excited to be pg and want to have the super cute belly. The only good thing about not showing means you won't have random strangers touch your stomach and ask you questions about your vagina and breasts (delivery and feeding options).
Haven't popped either at 15 weeks. As the day progresses I get a food/baby bump, that resets itself each morning (for lack of better words...)
DH says that he can tell I'm pregnant each morning, but he knows to look for the bump so I don't trust him
