Just wondering what everyone is planning on packing. I'm a little stumped. We can only bring non-perishable items and I definitely want them to be healthy and productive foods.
cereal bars and cheerios on-the-go bowls, oatmeal. we have fresh milk, juice and hot water available to us 24/7 while we are there. and i plan to have DH bring me fresh fruit since he will be stopping home to see DD and bringing her to see me.
anything to help get things moving, if you know what i mean!

I'm currently addicted to Nature Valley peanut butter granola bars, so a bunch of those, some fruit roll ups, and dried fruit. I might bring some almonds and jerky. I was considering bringing my usual favorite snack when I'm craving something sweet, fiber one coconut caramel granola bars, but thought better of it.

I guess I dont understand why you are bringing snacks the hospital provides food.
In our case DH is just picky about what he eats, so wanted to make sure he had stuff he liked. During actual labor I didn't want him leaving the room (I go pretty fast) to search for anything.

The hospital provides meals for me and not for dh. Also not much in the way of snacks between meals. Last time around I wished I had taken the snacks portion of packing more seriously. I had DD around 2:30 am and was handed an old, rewarmed dinner plate which was not very appetizing and by that time dh had eaten all the trail mix I brought so we were both starving until morning.
