I can't say how helpful both this and the eco friendly family board were in getting me on my way with cloth diapering. 10 months in and we've been nothing but successful!
I'd love to talk some about the next stage of cloth diapering though. My 10 month old is at the top of the growth curve at 24 lbs and almost 30 inches. Currently she's in a mixed set of handmade, kawaii, and bum genius diapers. The bum genius diapers are earlier models probably purchased in late 08 or early 09 (I inherited them from a friend who ended up not using them). I wrote down that the kawaii diapers I purchased are only rated through 22lbs.
What are your preferred brands for moving into the older baby and toddler stages? What are people using 22-45 lbs? Should I invest in more bum genius? This is my first baby so I don't know what the odds are on her continued growth rate. When did everyone start buying larger diapers?
Thanks for any and all thoughts and comments. I'm at least happy to have this problem. ![]()
Re: The next stage of diapering
DS is 27.5 lbs and he mostly wears OS FB, OS BG 3.0, Flips, and he can still fit into his Medium FB (they actually fit him GREAT right now).
ETA: He still has a lot of room to grow in his OS FB, we haven't moved him to the biggest settings yet so I'm hoping he'll make it to PT'ing in these. The OS BG 3.0 fit him perfectly right now but he's on the largest setting so I'm not sure if he'll make it to PT'ing in those. He still has a lot of room to grow in the flips too, I have one more row of snaps I haven't had to unfasten yet (I am not sure why the flips fit him smaller than the BG 3.0).
