When can a baby sit in a shopping cart? When she can sit unsupported? When she can sit supported? My daughter sits fine if she has something behind her and to her sides a little bit (like a high chair or stroller), but not on her own yet; I'm wondering if she can sit in a shopping cart with a cover on it, or if there's not enough support.
I hate taking up all that space in the cart with her carseat! :-P

I never held you, but I always loved you.

My sister-n-law bought the below cover and absolutely loves it. Her DD rides in it comfortably and with ease at 5 months of age.

Wow, that's deluxe!
but I like it though
I started when my 2.5 year old was 5 months. He was able to sit pretty well supported and even unsupported for a few minutes at a time. I got a floppy cart cover and wedged my diaper bag next to him to kind of lean on. He did fine.
It's safer to put the car seat in the basket, not on the front of the cart. In the basket, it leaves hardly any room for anything else.
