The woman who did my u/s just mentioned it, but said it didn't really mean anything. My lower back has been pretty sore the last couple of days, so I am wondering if that could be why. Anyone have a tilted uterus and if so, did the doctor say anything interesting about it?
Thank you, ladies!
Re: anyone have a tilted uterus?
I do, my doctor isn't concerned about it. It makes it a little harder for me to pee.
In the what to expect book, it says it usually fixes itself during the pregnancy (which i suppose means becomes un-tilted).
Me too. During the exam with my OB he told me I had a retroverted uterus, but that it wasn't anything to be concerned about and wouldn't cause any problems with the pregnancy. I think it's possible 1-in-3 to 1-in-5* women have a retroverted or tilted uterus.
*according to Wikipedia. Don't know why they couldn't just say, "about 1-in-4"
I have one and it corrected itself while pregnant with dd and then went back to its normal afterwards. I think I have more backpain due to it but that could be me coming up with excuses.
Thank you ladies.
My lower back is really uncomfortable and I am just wondering if that could be why...
I was told by my first gyno that I had a tilted uterus. It makes sense because I have pain with certain ST positions, and I had a lot of trouble putting in tampons when I was first using them.
But my current Obgyn said it isn't tilted. So I'm not sure what to think.

I do! My doc compared it to having either brown or blonde hair. Some are tilted, some aren't. No biggie! Shouldn't have any effect...
