i posted this: Chris is going to be a daddy and I'm pretty sure it's mine! Our little one is expected to join us March 5th. we had a bunch of "is this real?" comments.
I want to post something...but I'm nervous about doing so. I don't know if I am ready to handle all of the questions, comments and well wishes. I'm thinking I might wait until I'm in my 3rd trimester...That being said I really like the: "My husband's going to be a father and I'm pretty sure it's mine" idea. Cute and funny. If I do announce I will probably do it that way with a pic of me with my belly or u/s pic attached.

We're not. I'll put up pictures from our son's 1st birthday party this upcoming weekend. People can make their own conclusions as to whether I am pregnant or just gaining a bit around the middle.
I threw my back out and was all laid up, so I posted:
"I'm 100% certain (DH's name) is going to be a GREAT father come March! He's already doing a fantastic job of taking care of mom and baby! Can't wait to meet baby T!"
After two previous losses, I didn't want to make a huge deal out of this pregnancy on FB, so when I was safely out of the first trimester, I updated my status to say "Hello Second Trimester! It's so good to FINALLY meet you!"
I uploaded a few ultrasound pictures later on. (None of which will EVER be my default picture. I think that's just weird.)
My husband and I posted at the same time...We tagged eachother in the post and wrote..."(tagged eachothers name) can we tell everyone we are pregnant now?!?!"

Then the next day I posted our u/s pic.
I LOVE this!

I had DD do a video in her Big Sister T-shirt jumping up and down announcing she was going to be a big sister and giving all the details (When is baby due, what is it etc)

I'm not planning to announce on FB at this time. The important people know and I figure eventually people will see pictures or figure it out. I don't want to make a big to-do publicly.
We posted serveral pictures. The first one was our son wearing a Big Brother shirt that said I have a secret. The next picture was him holding a picture of the ultra-sound with a big smile on his face, saying "Hey what's this!. Next picture was of my son kissing my belly. Last picture was me holding my son, with the ultra sound picture on my belly and Orion (my son) pointing at it.
I really wanted to do it by posting the opening credits to "Look Who's Talking," but after looking up the video, we realized the end of it sounds too orgasmic and we didn't want people thinking about "that" part of it
When it comes time that I'm ready to announce on fb, I think I'll just use the new feature where you can update your profile to add an expected baby and their due date, and post a pic of my little guy in his big brother t-shirt.
It's a classic clip from I Love Lucy where Lucy tells Ricki that she's pregnant. It's always been one of my favorite moments on the show! Makes me tear up every time!
I had a friend who posted a picture of his wife holding their son. He tagged his wife, his son and his future baby in the picture around where her stomach was. He put under the picture "How many (last name) can you spot in this picture?" It was really cute when you dragged your mouse across and "baby" would show up.
If everything goes well on Tuesday at our appointment to officially end the first trimester, I will be posting something like this:
"So far my first three months as a baker have been a success. Who knew baking a bun could be so easy? Can't wait to see the results on March 23, 2012!"
I probably won't come out directly and say something. I will probably say something like..."it's great that food finally tastes good." (If it actually tastes good anytime soon). Then let people go from there.

We haven't come out yet, but my sister gave us two ideas. The first is to take a picture of Prego spaghetti sauce and use it as my profile pic. I kinda like that one. The second is to take a picture of yourself in front of one of those "Expectant Mother" Parking signs at the grocery store or CVS. Post it to FB and say, "I just got to use the best partking spot in the lot!"

So I just watched Sara.Wilder's I Love Lucy clip and I had a pretty good cry. I didn't realize how hormonal I was today until this. I loved this clip and I loved your idea to post it to FB. I think this may be what we do. Thanks for sharing!

My post on FB was "The best sound in the world? Hearing your baby's heartbeat! We are happy to announce that baby C is well underway and due March 21, 2012!"
I had just come from my 12 week ultrasound and I swear hearing the heartbeat is the best thing ever.

After our 13/14week scan (and a urine gender test), we posted our u/s pic with blue footprints on and a caption that said "We're thrilled to announce that Milla's going to be a big sister! Her little brother is due early in March. God's blessings just keep on pouring over us, we're so grateful!"
We haven't yet, but I've been thinking of posting a picture of my son talking to my belly (which he loves to do) with a caption like "Cash talking to his little brother or sister, who will be joining us in March!"

I used to be "Chasingthedog" but it would never let me update my profile.

I just posted this video with the comment, "Yup.

I also like Tash's "we'll be expanding our house by 2 feet."
May have to steal one of these.
