Do you have 2 totally different kids?

As in personality?  With the exception of the first month or so, Jacob has always been easy and William was always super fussy.   Now Jacob is still always easy and William is MUCH happier (started right around June and he's so much more enjoyable since he isn't just this p!ssed off person here), but SUCH a trouble maker (in a cute and totally worth it kind of way).

Some examples of William's naughtiness, if we forget to close the bathroom door, the toilet lid better be down because he loves water and will start splashing.  He'll take something he knows he shouldn't have (maybe JR's toy, etc) and look at me, give this devilish grin and haul ass.  You have to use the power button on the TV now because the one from the remote went missing...why you as...BECAUSE HE ATE IT (oh yes, that's right, my kid chewed on the power and pause bottons on the remote anytime he could get his trouble-maker little hands on it and he eventually ended up eating them).

So do you have one that's super easy and one that's in any mischief he/she can find.  Our house is very baby-proofed, but he's a very creative little boy.  Also, if you do have a trouble maker, what were they like younger?

  • Yes, Piper and Fletch couldn't be more different. Piper is a spunky, somewhat mischevious, little girl who loves rough housing, climbing, etc. Fletch is more cuddly, emotional, but also a bit devious. They are totally different. They play with toys differently, they get upset over totally different things, etc. I wouldn't say that one is harder than the other b/c they both have their days. Fletch can WHINE endlessly which will drive you batty. Piper can be super-clingy, which also can drive me crazy. Even MIL, who was a teacher and principal for 30+ years says she's never seen two kids from one family who are more different.

  • Yep. Our boys are veeery different in personality, and look quite different, too. Other people are always commenting on both.

  • Strangely enough, William and DS1 are complete clones.  They look ID, and have the same personality.  DS1 favors Jacob and I think it's because opposites attract.
  • Very different.  They do play well together, but have totally different personalities and interests.

  • Vivienne, my previously shy girl is now a big talker/singer/dance, dance, dancer ;)

Audrey, who I thought was a social butterfly is going through a shy, whiny and defiant phase.  Seriously, the whining got on my last nerve this weekend.

They're always quite different, but I also can't really define their personalities yet.
