do you use something other than just a straight shelf? it seems that diapers and other items just on a shelf would not stack well or stay organized since there would be nothing to hold them up. KWIM? i can just imagine trying to store my diapers stacked on a shelf against the wall and them falling all over the place. putting them IN the dresser drawers is an option but I wanted to consider something on the wall first so I could use the drawers for clothes. can you post your over the dresser/changing table storage ideas?
Re: if you store your CD above the changing table..
We have an open shelf style change table. I bought some baskets and labelled them with the different diaper types (mostly for DH's sake....) and stacked the diapers in their respective baskets. I also have a basket for inserts and one soakers/covers. I store the baskets on the shelves of the change table.
I don't think an open shelf above the table would work for us...I can just imagine the diaper avalanches that would happen and annoy the crap out of me

We use to have her changing table next to a bookshelf and had no problems with diaper avalanches (unless you count someone grabbing the very bottom diaper and pulling without holding the 5 above it
Silly DH). Here's what it looked like (please excuse the mess). We have since moved her toy basket and the top two shelves are diapers, third has all her cloth wipes and the pee pads are on the bottom.
ETA Yeah, I know, you are asking about above the table, but I figure as long as it has sides, you should still be ok (unless your DH is like mine). I meant to say that in my post.

Baskets from World Market on Ikea shelves that you can cut to whatever length you want because the shelf mounts go over the ends.
Yes, I have a blog and it's hilarious (except when it's not)
