Hi girls, I'm just looking for a good book to read. I'm having a really hard time and need to focus and relax. Does anyone have any suggestions? Was there a book that you read after your m/c that helped you get through it a little easier? Thanks!
Robin McKinley's Deerskin is something I read just before I miscarried, and it was a helpful thing to have experienced as it deals with trauma. I don't want to spoil the plot, but I do have to warn you that it's about trauma and MC is involved, but so is healing, which is what I loved.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Are you looking for books specifically about miscarriage? If so, I just finished "An Exact Replica of a Figment of my Imagination" by Elizabeth McCracken. I highly recommend it and found it to be very helpful. It is a memoir about a woman who loses her baby and is written so beautifully. You can read more about it here:
Unrelated to m/c, I am reading "Bossypants" by Tina Fey right now and it is super funny (warning : some stuff on motherhood is mentioned, but it doesn't seem to bother me)

First, I am so sorry you are going through this. When I went through one last summer, the one book that really resonated with me was About What Was Lost. It is twenty women writers writing about their own experience in a vast number of circumstances. One of the worst things I felt was being so alone with myself and my grief and this helped me feel like I wasn't alone in at least with what I was feeling. I hope it helps you. https://www.amazon.com/About-What-Was-Lost-Miscarriage/dp/0452287995
