A friend has just had a baby who has been named Jana Brennan (Last Name with S). They plan on calling her "JB" (like "Jay-Bee"). Thoughts?

Re: Naming child J.B.?
lol, this. But I'd just use Jana if I were them.
I think it's kind of cute.
Jillian Christine was a name we both liked, I wanted to call her Jaycie, then almost right after that Jaycie Dugard was found and her whole story came out.

We named our daughter Everett Jane (both family names) with the intention of calling her Eve if we thought she needed a nn. Somehow, though, Eve seemed way too girly for her so my husband started using EJ, which I was previously totally NOT a fan of....but it seems to fit her and has kinda stuck. Normally I really dislike initial nicknames, but it looks like my daughter may actually be one of them. (although I typically call her Everett or even Everett Jane)
Oh well.
