  Yeah..I would have paid for it. We aren't ready for anything permanent and there really aren't a lot if options, ESP while breastfeeding. My DH doesn't feel it and um he's really well endowed. I rarely use tampons because I am afraid I will forget about it. I may use it for the heaviest day. Plus, the flow is usually too light so I'm afraid of TSS. And I dunno...4 years from now we'll either have another baby or be ready for a permanent decision (Aka: the big V)

(I will have to pay about $300 for the procedure). I think I would. Even though my BC pills had zero copay, I still think $300 would be worth it. I only had to pay a $25 office visit though. Do you pay a monthly copay for BCP? If you do, it's probably worth $300 over the course of 5 years
  

  Does DH ever feel it during sex? No. I've asked him and he said not that he's noticed... but it's not something he feels for or thinks about during sex! When I had NuvaRing there were times he felt it. But, I can't even feel the strings myself.
  

  Do you use tampons?  The dr told me I could, but had to be careful so that has me a bit uneasy... Yes, I still do. My doc just told me not to use them that cycle (I had it put in during the 2nd day of my period) but didn't mention anything about being cautious after that. Like I said before, I don't really get my period anymore, so I don't need to worry about tampons now... I just use a liner.
  

  When your 5 years is up, will you get another one or use another form of BCP? Not sure. By that point I think we will have a final decision about whether or not we'll have another. So we'll either be having #2 by or before (and if we do have #2 I would probably get my tubes tied during the repeat cs) If we do decide to be "one and done" DH might get snipped... but I might not be ready to be that final, so I'd have no problem getting another IUD.

  Still trying to make my decision, and DH isn't much help at all..  He doesn't understand why I don't just stay on BCP.  (And FWIW, I'm not one that ever really had an issue with BCP.  Still had a great sex drive, not hormonal, etc.)  So if you've had/have Mirena would you mind answering a few questions for me?

  If insurance didn't cover it all, would you still have had it done?  I had to pay about $250.00 for mine.  That didn't really bother me too much since it's good for 5 years.

  Does DH ever feel it during sex?  He says he has before but I don't really think he did.

  Do you use tampons?  I do.  I would say it's been a little harder using them but not to the point that I can't use them at all.  And I'm not even sure the mirena is to blame.

  When your 5 years is up, will you get another one or use another form of BCP?  My dh is planning on getting a vasectomy soon.  I would like to stay on it even after the 5 years just because my periods are so much lighter but there's obviously no need to if he has the procedure done.  However, I definitely won't have it taken out early if he gets it before the 5 years is up.  I paid for it so I might as well keep it in.

  Do you use tampons?  The dr told me I could, but had to be careful so that has me a bit uneasy...I didnt hear about this! I hate pads, but I havent had a real period with hte mirena yet (although the ultrasound tech told me that Ive ovulated, so we'll see if I get a period at all)

  When your 5 years is up, will you get another one or use another form of BCP? I will prob pull this out in a little over a year - when we TTC again. However, I would totally get this put in again after that pregnancy is over.
