1. I started on the Knot in '02 after I got engaged.
2. I moved over to Parenting from BOTB in '06 after The W was born.
3. I am a closet clothing designer. I have a fabulous garment draped on my dress form right now, but have no idea how to put it together.

I started lurking on Parenting right around the same time. I'm trying to think of when The Nest launched, but am I wrong that Parenting was originally part of The Knot?

OMG. The random thought that came to mind is sooooo soooo horrible. I don't think I can share it sober!
So, the back up--
I still had baby teeth in 10th grade.
Didn't get my period (except once in 8th grade but it was light spotting) until 9th grade.
I've smoked pot out of a maple leaf before.
I've never been skinny dipping.
I've had sexual relationships with two guys that were roommates before. Always an awkward walk of shame back across the hallway to my apartment.
I joined in 2005 when I found out I was PG and was on BOTB. I moved over to Parenting in 2006 and I am never leaving, so deal with it.
Oh and something interesting about me: I used to hang out with Eminem's best friend Proof on occasion, when he was in Buffalo or Toronto before he got shot and died. ( The guy who Mekhi Phifer was based on in 8 Mile.)
I've been on parenting since DD was born, so almost ::cough:: five years.
I am boring and everyone knows just about everything about me already.
Too long! lol
Started on the knot since the fall of 2002. Back in the P&E days I planned my entire wedding gathering ideas etc from looking at people wedding bios. lol.
Then got kicked to thenest and eventually over here on thebump. I have been here on Parenting since I can remember once L was born.
Wow. Almost 9 yrs!

I've lurked on Parenting for years but made it my "home" board after the preschool board became really slow about 8 months ago.
Something about me...I was the good student in school that never had detention or did drugs but got knocked up at 17
A lot of people were shocked when they found out I was pregnant...
I've been on the bump for a couple of years (I had a different sign in name before). I started on the parenting board.
I belly dance. It's fun.
How long have you been on the Knot/Nest/Bump? I started on theknot BEFORE I got engaged...so prior to 2003?
How long on Parenting specifically? Since I got pregnant with DS1 - so over 5 years

AND - it makes me sad to think that if I was gone suddenly, nobody would notice here.
Um...I don't share a lot of personal details about myself (because you never know who is reading this stuff), but at the same time I feel like I "know" some of the nesties here better than some of the people I know IRL. And that is sad because I don't think anyone could say the same about me!

I started on The Knot back in 2002 when I was planning my wedding. Moved over to BOTB after I got KU with DD and migrated over to The Bump when it started, but mostly stayed on my local board and the SP board.
Six months? I'm not sure.
I lived in Germany for almost ten years of my childhood.
That was the night we shotgunned and hotboxed it too..
I think it was dry? I was intoxicated as well.
then I proceeded to have sexual relationships with a bullrider...
I can't remember which one though...! ! !

How long on Parenting specifically? I've been here since 2004 back when it was "Baby Talk" when I was pregnant with DD#1, it may have even been late 2003. I made the progression from Baby Talk to Baby on the Brain and to Parenting. I was here back in the days of VeggieBride drama.
Share something interesting about yourself. I found out when I was 18 that my dad isn't my biological dad, very few people know that, not sure if my moms family even knows. I don't know the slightest thing about my biological dad and my dad found out when I was 12 that I wasn't his. How's that for interesting?!WOW - that is pretty major! How did you find that out???

I've been on the knot since late '02, early '03, when I was planning my wedding. Hard to believe since it shows I have hardly any posts.
I was on BOTB, before the Nest and the Bump. Just migrated over here with some others.
In college and for too long after I worked at Disneyland and I've done it within the park.
1. Since January of last year 2010- I didn't start posting until DD/I got to the 9-12 board
2. When 9-12 got crazy cakes with the AE's and all the drama I was looking for some level-headed ppl. I mostly lurked but posted every now and then and still do. I post on here 12-24 and 2u2
3. I really thought I couldn't get preggers while bf hence DS. LOL I'm sooo naiieve and gullable; I delivered DD alone at home after being sent home from the hospital that same morning.............I guess I'm a little stubborn too
Joined in 2002, and jumped on the Parenting boards in 2006 after DS#1.
Deleted my account in end of 2008 or early 2009, and re-joined just awhile ago in 2011. I come here when I can.

Before 2002, because that's when I was married. Actually, I remember - it was right after 9/11. I was coming to theknot to look at wedding dresses and saw there was a board about 9/11 and clicked it. I didn't stay there very long, but was hooked. So, ew, 10 years. But, in my defense, it's been a spotty relationship - I've stayed away for long periods - and don't post often at all.
I have no idea when I started on Parenting - I got kicked over here from the nest, I guess.
Interesting - I was conceived in Italy and lived there for most of the first year of my life (although I was born in NY). Too bad I remember none of that...
I have been in the knot/nest/bump world since 2005.
I have been on Parenting for 4 years (I think).
Interesting- MH and I got engaged at Haleakala National park while on vacation in Maui. While on our trip, we went to the Big Island and did a night hike through the active lava flows of Kilauea. It was awesome!
Joined the Knot in early 2002 I think. Hardly posted but watched plenty of crazy, even back then.
the Knot kicked me to the Nest and I really had no interest at all.
Came to the Bump when I got pregnant in 2006 - stayed on the tri boards and then the growth boards. Found Parenting when I was looking from some sanity away from some of the uber posters, maybe 2 years ago.
I am a sci-fi nerd.

Since DD was born (August 2005)
I have a sore throat and it sucks.
Knot since March '04 when I got engaged. Mostly P&E and my local board.
Nest when we got bumped off the Knot. Joined parenting about 3-4 months into my first pregnancy.
Bump since it became the Bump.
I recently won third place in our county fair for an Estonian shawl that I knit. It's a really competetive fair, so third place is actually a big deal.

Knot in '03 after I got engaged. Nest/Bump/Parenting sometime shortly before or after DD was born (March 2006), I can't remember exactly.
There was significant time in between the wedding (June 2004) and her birth that I didn't post.
Started on theknot in 2003, but I don't remember when I started on Parenting. Pretty damn early though.
I am training to become a volunteer with hospice. I'm not sure why I'm drawn to volunteer in this area, but I guess I'll learn why along the way.
How long have you been on the Knot/Nest/Bump? I started in November 2001 (I think - that's the month I got engaged)
How long on Parenting specifically? No idea. I don't remember all those transitions and don't even really know how I ended up here. All the diff boards are a big blur to me.
Share something interesting about yourself - I always default to this one --- I got run over by a snowmobile my senior year of high school and was airlifted to the hospital. I broke my back, shifted my pelvis and was bruised pretty much from the waist down (like deep black bruises everywhere).
I started TheKnot when I got engaged about 6 years ago.
I just started lurking/posting on Parenting a few months ago. I was following the month boards and with my 2nd being so close behind, I felt like it was the same topics over and over again and I think I outgrew them. I also post on Food Allergy and D&R.
Something interesting - I found out I have a half sister right before I got married. My mom didn't have family support (to say the least) and gave her up for adoption when she was 17 years old. I was hesitant at first, but I now have the sister I always wished for growing up.
My parents sat me down a couple weeks after I graduated from HS and told me. Thankfully my BF (now DH) was with me or I would have lost it completely. After they told me I left, I didn't come home until 3 in the morning, I was so upset. My dad and I are super close and it broke my heart to think I wasn't biologically his. We told my sister like 6 months later when my parents were getting divorced.
ETA: My parents were HS sweethearts, broke up when my dad moved from MN to TX, when my mom found out she was pregnant, she moved to TX, hid the pregnancy from my dad, then he found out, kicked her out for lying, etc., so she went to live with a mutual friend, my dad came to the hospital when I was born and as he says "Fell in love" with me and wasn't leaving. I don't know if my bio-dad even knows she was pregnant, he was from the same small town my parents were from and a grade below my mom and dad. I have no desire to even try and find him.
Hahaha! Yeah for small schools! I graduated with 7 people:)
